Hand drumming for beginners. Learn to play the djembe (a goblet-shaped hand drum from West Africa) and common drum circle rhythms. This class is for beginners only. We will be concentrating on learning the 3 basic sounds of the drum, correct technique, traditional African rhythms, playing in a group with different rhythms playing simultaneously, and most importantly, making new friends and having fun while we do so.
