We provide opportunities for artists to interface with our local community, thereby facilitating appreciation of, and enrichment through, the arts.
Established in 1924, Long Beach Arts is a 501c3 non-profit entity and our mission is to advance the fine arts and allied arts of the City of Long Beach, California. A variety of artists, local and international, have exhibited at the gallery, attracting both the emerging artist and the seasoned professional.
Activities include several juried exhibitions throughout the year, including an annual membership show. LBA has a history of attracting some of the most respected and well known jurors, such as George Herms and faculty from Los Angeles Art Institutions.
In addition, other programming is continually developed which supports and strengthens the local art community, such as classes on drawing, sketching, painting, fiber arts, mixed media and a variety of other artistic skill sets. Long Beach Arts is committed through these efforts to its vision of a thriving, innovative, and inclusive artist community.
Our mission is to encourage and promote both the emerging and professional artist and to advance the fine arts and allied arts of the City of Long Beach California.
