Novice here! I felt super safe and comfortable. Staff goes above and beyond to make safety a priority while allowing experienced customers to enhance their skills. Staff is kind and super knowledgeable in terms of rules, regulations, ammunition, skill level and , different guns. Super impressive and professional. Highly recommend.
Great safe place to practice. You can bring your own targets. Ammo very reasonably priced. 20 minute blocs then ceasefire to check/put up targets. They even provide staplers! Range officers walking around and happy to answer any questions. Update 8/2023 Went to the long range 100-200 and again excellent. Very safe range with safety officers there to answer any questions. Pauses to put up and get targets. Steel targets and prone mats available. Also officer told us of a 20% rebate on Win rounds!! Bonus cash back!! Great groups and great range!
Great place for people learning and experienced. Everyone is SO friendly and super helpful. Gun safety was definitely a huge priority to the staff. Made me feel very safe. It was my first time shooting anything other than a pistol and range officer Nick gave me the most helpful tips. After Nicks help shooting was a breeze. 100% would recommend. As a young woman not once did i feel judged and walked away much more educated than when i walked in. I strongly believe everyone should know how to properly handle a gun and the staff definitely stress that in the most positive ways possible.
First time shooting and I’m glad I came here! The range instructors, Jason and Charlie, were extremely helpful and kind. They helped me set up, gave me safety instructions, and always checked up to make sure everything was okay. Will be coming back, thank you for the memorable experience!
I’ve been coming here for many years now and it has been getting better every time I come. The new owner is making it better and better. The Range officers Gary,Gene, Nick … are great. They’re very knowledgeable and helpful. Safety is first so you may get your balls broke a little bit if your not paying attention. Remember, it’s a shooting range!!! Nobody needs they’re balls shot off. They’ve never been rude to anyone about it as far as I’ve ever seen and I shoot hear often. The culture has changed since new ownership has taken over. This is not an add for them, just me talking shooter to shooter. And one other great thing is they have all different types of shooting: rifle, hand gun, trap, skeet, sporting clays, archery and some nice golf carts too. Just go!
A great place with great people. I visited their rifle range not their shotgun range. The best safety officers I have even seen on long island. These people are strict on safety rules, and they are also professional in shooting skills, kind, and humorous. If you are a new shooter, they will generously help you with the basics, from shooting gestures and target setting, and help zeroing your scopes. Absolutely recommended, and next time, I will visit their trap range for shotguns.
They verbally ask your name, town, and caliber at registration building then write it in a log book. That day payment was card only. No cash. The staff member helped me zero 3 of my rifles. He sat next to me and spotted through binoculars the hits. Advised how many clicks I need to adjust. Their rule for at least the rifle portion was no standing shooting. Shoot sitting from the table. I am recommending my friends to go here when they want to zero in.
As trained law enforcement, I can say hands down this is one of the safest ranges I’ve ever been to. The staff is extremely helpful, eager to educate on safety, and above all else professional. The old guy with the sweet goatee definitely needs a raise.
Great experience! Friendly staff. RSO’s take their job seriously, safety is their main goal. They communicate effectively to ensure we are safe when the range goes hot or cold. I had an issue with my rifles zero, RSO Gene spent time with me, helping me get my shots on paper. He gave me some tips on trigger control and how to hold the rifle. My hunting rifle was giving me 2” groups at 100 yards! There is a nice lounge area in the main building. They offer targets and ammo. I’ll be there again soon! Thanks Gene.
Shot at this range today. It was a great experience. Overall the staff was great and very helpful. The range officers Dean and Angelo, were friendly, respectful and helpful. Will definitely be returning here again. Thanks for a great time and experience!
