Long John Silver's

Extremely disappointed. Saw the signage on the highway and decided to stop. The line was long which made this seem promising. I was disappointed when I received my food. I ordered the shrimp/fish/chicken combo with hush puppies and fries. The hush puppies were delicious. Everything else was greasy and too crunchy. It tasted like they didn't drain the grease from the food after removing it from the grease. Or maybe the refried it. It had been years since I'd had Long John Silver's and this did not meet my expectations. I've since passed this sign a few more times and I refuse to stop here again. The 1-star rating is because the staff was at least friendly.

I really think that this restaurant is special. I went here with my mom about two days ago, and we ordered some food. If we're talking about wait times like Mcdonalds, it wouldn't meet that standard. Then again, why would you even compare Long John Silvers/A&W to Mcdonalds. I think that the wait times is worth it. It was maybe about four or five minutes to get our food out. Our food was fresh, tasty, mouth-watering, and amazing. This restaurant is a very amazing restaurant. We really didn't know what we wanted when we went inside. It still took like six minutes to decide. The employees who helped us made us feel very special. I know how frustrating it can get to wait for a long time for customers to decide what they want to eat; I work in the fast food business. Staff was super polite. The drink machine was well kept and clean. I thought that it was really neat that they frost the mugs for you to drink out of. Overall, I think this restaurant deserves 5 stars. They also had some spooky Halloween decorations up which even added to the experience. Tables were clean, and the tartar sauce cups were stocked. Amazing experience.

The service and food need improvement. I can't blame the young girl behind the counter, as she'd only been there a week. It was like chaos. Nobody was being lead managed and the teenage crew were just winging it. We nearly walked out. The manager was in the kitchen, presumably oblivious to the incredible difficulty that her team members were having. I felt bad for them... it isn't their fault if they don't have a strong leader to guide them. The food was overcooked, our order was missing something, and it took a long time for it to arrive. The inappropriate conversations by the staff in earshot of customers left us wondering if they were taught to act professionally, too. Save yourself the hassle and eat elsewhere.

Been to this restaurant many times and had good service and food, but not the last time. Ordered the L2 meal 2-chicken & 2-fish with an extra piece of fish total of 3 fish. Paid for the meal. When my order came I asked the lady if my 3rd piece of fish was in the bag and she assured me it was. That was my mistake for not checking the bag myself until I got home about an hour away and for honestly believing that there are still businesses that actually care for their customers and what they may think of the service that they receive. There was not a 3rd piece of fish. I called them. The lady took my name and address and said they'd be sending me a coupon for a future visit. That also did not happen. Beware! Check your order because they will charge you for something that you do not get.

Took over 20 minutes for food to be served. The shrimp was very chewy like jerky and I couldn't cut the fish. The breading was so tuff I had to pull it apart. The food was clearly very old and gross. Didn't even eat it just threw it away. Corn was also cold and never was served the puppies that were to come with it. I should have ran the other way with all the garbage laying on the kitchen floor that I could see from the counter. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!

30+ minute wait for food; that was after ordering. It took us over an hour between waiting to order, waiting for the food, and eating it as fast as we could to get back on the road. The fish and chicken were warm, not hot by any means, and the sides were all as cold as they had cooked them yesterday. You know it's bad when I warned another family that was coming in as we were exiting.

Took long time to wait for food. One of the barstool seats was broken. Could use a little extra cleaning. Chairs were greasy. All 4 employees took a break at the same time and came back inside reeking of cigarettes. Employees were courteous. They did offer a free dish of ice cream for the extra long wait.

We waited inside for 20 minutes for food until a worker came and told us they were dropping fresh food not to worry. We then waited another twenty minutes until another worker came and asked if we had our food. She went and told the kitchen we had not received any of our food. She came back and got our receipt so our food was made again. We asked for it to go instead at this point we were traveling and just stopped on the way through finally we got our food 55 minutes later. We went to the car and someone ran out and said they forgot something on our order so our son ran in to get it. He came back out and I dished out our food and we had things we did not order and did not have things that we did order missing 6yr olds kids meal completely I felt bad for the worker who were clearly completely flustered and totally lacking in training. Definitely will not stop here again.

They forgot about my order when it came out it had been sitting in the warming drawer for a long time. They did attempt to make it right, by giving me twice as much fish that was still chewy and barely warm. Three stars because they did try and are usually pretty good.

Stop in a few months ago. Well worth the drive. Not too many Long John Silver's around in southern Wisconsin, actually there are none anymore. So it's nice to see these. Always get the same thing, fish and chicken planks. No sides. It's straight to business. If you've never had Long John Silver's. Its a must try. If it's your first time there. Ask for it fresh out of the fryer. I promise you will not be disappointed.
