"The racetrack was built in 1964 as a 1/4-mile asphalt oval originally called "Tomah-Sparta Speedway". In 1996, the track was purchased Dave Thompson. Under the ownership of Dave Thompson, the track was renamed "Excalibur Motorsports Speedway". It was reconfigured and paved into its current configuration of 3/8-mile asphalt oval. In 2018 GO Promotions took over management and went back to the Tomah Sparta Speedway name. Weekly divisions include modifieds, sportsmen, hobby stocks, 6 shooters, hornets and dash 4-cylinder cars."

Fun winter event. Great way to break in the new year, as I enjoyed the food and entertainment. The freezing cold not so much but it was worth going. It was a $5000 pot for the winner.
I love this track. The seating is just okay. We always bring lawn chairs because the benches needed an upgrade decades ago but I am pretty sure the track owners are aware of this. Not the worst thing in the world. The attendance is lower here than the track in West Salem so I understand the limited budget for improvements. The volunteers and concession staff are always friendly and helpful. It is nice having good racing 10 minutes from the house. A great place to meet friends on Friday nights.
Not a bad track at all, it's neatly tucked away and sorrounded by trees. Best of all, it's a local track and it gives us something else to do on a Friday night. It's fun to watch the cars race and sometimes when they crash as well. The bathrooms can use a little updating and some of the seating as well. Next time, we are bringing our own lawn chairs and blankets. They also give you a Military discount at the entrance plus a free drink!!!
No youth size hoodies or shirts... But another Enduro in the bag for iraceiss! Good time, but freaking cold at the chill chaser!
Seating is bench style or bring your blanket/towel and sit in the grass. Food is cheap and is burger fries type, beer and soft drinks. Kids play ground. Viewing is nice since its a 1/3 mile track. Lots of 4-cylinder cars, check website for special events. Staff and owner are friendly.
First time visitor to Tomah-Sparta on friday night July 31st. Track has a well used feeling but with an unique charm. Prices were great for the amount of action you receive! Food was good and also well priced. My only dislike is one you can't fix sadly and that is the hill. I have bad balance and it was hard to negotiate but will definitely come back.

Excellent place to come watch my son & myself race our cars . The management does a good job of running the show , I'm a little bias , but they try to keep the fans entertained , and it seems to be working well , I think the fans have that closeness to the drivers and cars more than at other short tracks I've race at ... It's a fun track to race on as well ... If you're a fan , you have to come to TSR and give it a try ...
I like the track. Good racing. Very nice staff members. Tower guys are super funny. Definitely would recommend it to friends. We go here a few times a year
It's a dump, the benches were so bent and twisted that IF you tried to sit on them you would slip off!! They didn't mow the parking lot, so the grass was knee high, not great for your car. Mosquitos were so bad we had to finally leave and I had deep woods off on !!
