Be in New Orleans my friend recommended me this beautiful place. That was very good choice to go for Longue Vue House & Gardens. Hous was so beautiful inside. The family who lived in this house left everything, so it is now a museum and you can see, watch and admire there exactly the same. Tour was very interesting with rich history. I do also enjoy amazing gardens what is good condition and well maintained. Everyone was so nice , very helpful and knowing history this house. Definitely I do recommend to see this place
This is such a fantastic home to visit! The gardens are gorgeous and so well maintained, and the house itself it just beautiful. Our guide was so knowledgeable and funny, and ready to answer questions. You get to see several rooms of the home, and the ones you can't see are explained to you. It has amazing architectural details, and the gardens are meticulously organized. It was also fascinating to learn so much about the family who owned the home and all the equitable and impactful charity work they did. This was such a gem of a spot to visit, and we spend time sitting in the chairs along the oak-lined walk, which was just stunning.
Wow! What a gem. Did the self guided garden tour, then the house tour with a darling young guide. This was one of my favorite experiences in NOLA. Such history and beauty. Don't miss this.
Such a beautiful property! We went on the first Sunday of the month, which is a day that locals’ admission is free. You’re able to bring a picnic as well!
I am so glad I came across this wonderful place! We bought our tickets ahead of time online and tours run on the hour. We had a private tour since no one else was there. Bob was a great and informative guide. We enjoyed seeing all the rooms and learning about the family. The tour was the perfect length and quite interesting. Then we walked around on the grounds/gardens. Highly recommend.
An absolute dream to escape to in the city. Had a lovely picnic, and the staff on site were kind enough to provide glasses and a little history of the house and gardens. 10/10
What a lovely tour! Just took a tour of the house, but I will be back for the combination tour of the house and gardens. The history of this house was amazing. And to think that this was the second house erected here. I'm not sure where they moved the original house to, but I will Google. The tour guide was amazing and very informed. I am so glad to come and am considering the membership.
Visited the gardens and took the house tour. The gardens are beautiful and the tour was very interesting. A must do!
This is truly an amazing house and even more amazing gardens! The gardens were created from 1925 to 1950 under the guidance of a pioneer landscape architect, Ellen Shipman. The guided tour of the house was really outstanding! This estate may not be in the French Quarter but we'll worth going to see!
I definitely enjoy the tour of the New House and it history. And even more so, the Gardens were amazing.
