Not a cart in sight. Not bad hadn’t been there in awhile and they moved everything around. Nice mum selection, but couldn’t find any red mum hanging baskets.
Could be due to a lot of new employees, but I dread coming to this Lowe's because it's always a hassle. Searching the store for employees who can actually help or answer questions is a problem. Even when I do online buy and pick up, it takes way too long to have someone retrieve my order. They claim to offer curbside pickup but it's honestly a joke. One time an employee came to my car almost 20 minutes with my stuff, after I had already gone inside to get it. I've encountered a few friendly and nice employees but most just seem like they could care less.
I've shopped here several times due to its proximity to my house. I've had multiple bad experiences. First, many of the workers are just pure lazy. I was told that they were "sold out" when their inventory showed they had over 40 of the item. They just didn't want to look for it. After I found the item, and an elderly employee helped me get it down from the upper shelves, the lazy employee came by and asked me where I found it....... All of us waiting in the check-out line had a laugh when I told him they were sold out of quality employees. When I say employees, it's the younger ones, just lazy and have no drive to provide any level of help. Yesterday I went to get an air filter for my furnace, sadly they don't carry the size like every other store. But, when I went to check out, the lanes open were the self checkout.... So after waiting in line, an employee comes up and asks if I'm paying with cash or card, I responded with either. She then proceeds to ask the people in line behind me and pushed them ahead of me. I get that certain machines might be broken because of over usage and it's an attempt to help the line move faster. But when I answered either you would expect for them to actually listen to their response. I'm fed up with this Lowe's, and will drive an extra few miles to actually go to a store that gives a da** about their customers. Again, these are only two of several trips.
On 9/5/22 we went to Lowe’s to set up a storm door install & paid for measurement. We had 2 different people come to measure the door that alone is a red flag. The door associate Nedro Tyree Wood gave us a quote that we agreed on 9/15/22. We signed the quote & told Mr. Wood to please update the name. On 9/16/22 we went into the store and paid for the install at 1:20pm. We talked to Ferdinand Gonzalez the store manager and we asked for his card in case we had any problems. A week later we hadn’t heard anything about the door so we called and they explained that the door was being made. This didn’t make any sense because it was an in stock door. They also stated that we hadn’t paid when we physically went into the store to pay on 9/16/2022. The associate Wesley Brown was disrespectful on the phone and we could hear Tyree Wood having an attitude in the background saying we hadn’t paid, when we had the receipt to prove it. Finally, he found the payment and said the door would be ready on Thursday, September 29. On September 29 we called the installation department to check the status and they said the door still wasn’t in the system but then when they called over to the store they said they just put it in the system a couple seconds ago. He stated that we would be contacted in 2 business days but no one called. The store manager is unreachable. We called the installation department today, October 4 after not hearing from anyone. They said someone would contact us within 24 hours. Since we’ve been waiting so long we called to the store to double check the status and the associate we talked to said he didn’t see anything in the system only a communication from 9/5/2022. So we asked to speak to a manager. After calling back 3 times we finally got a hold of the assistant manager Kerre. She was very disrespectful. Not willing to find out what the other associate was looking at and why we keep getting different responses and hung up on us. We just want our door installed.
Took time to explore new ideas in remodeling. Got some ideas and found some products i. Had never seen before. One of the staff pointed me to a better way to do one of my projects. I'm an old hand at this but I'm open to new things. So productive trip! .
First time shopping at this location. Didn't have everything I needed. But, Dajon provided such great service at the self check out that I felt compelled to leave a review. He was super friendly and had a very "I want to make sure you are taken care of" attitude. Refreshing in today's world of customer service.
Wanted to get a secure screen door and first was quoted wrong price. When I went back to purchase the sales associate Michael Ready was not very helpful, didn't provide any info had to pull it out of him with thousands of questions wherein he started get impatient. Wouldn't do follow up had to track him down and Lowes phone system is awful because the phone rings forever until someone finally answers. Door came in but no one bothered to put in system which over the holidays took longer. Kept calling no one from that dept. came in the office to include Mgr. Melody. Finally went in and Tim from Cabinets was the only associate who was actually helpful. Still waiting for installation had to speak with rude customer service rep over the phone who said I had to wait an additional 2 days for a call back, like I haven't been waiting long enough. A total nightmare and a huge inconvenience...never again!
Do not work with Lowe’s for any home improvement needs. Complete mess! I am specifically working with the Glen Burnie location. I purchased fence installation and paid over $5000 for materials and the work itself. This was back in August. We are in Dec. now and nothing has been done. They delivered some materials piled them in my back patio over two months ago and they are just sitting there. The day the materials were delivered, they left it in a large crate in the alley behind my house, partially blocking traffic for those driving in and out of their parking pads in my neighborhood. It wouldn’t have been removed unless I pointed out the issue and asked that it be moved. No one seems to have answers. It’s been a frustrating, unacceptable and messy, messy process.
Seriously shady business practices. Do not ever buy an appliance here especially. They give you free delivery but nowhere on the site or during the ordering process is it mentioned that installation has to be scheduled SEPARATELY. IN THE STORE. I I am undergoing treatment for cancer and I can't be out and about because I am very sick and that is why I shop online. Had there been any indication that I was going to have to go physically to the store for any reason to complete this transaction I would not have made it. Worse yet, there is no mention of what the installation will actually cost until you have bought the appliance and had it unceremoniously dumped in your kitchen... Update. I neglected to mention that the price they want to change to connect a simple gas line is almost as much as the stove itself cost. Be smart. Buy one and get a plumber to install it. They're actually reasonable. Still you should just buy elsewhere.
Love ,love love Lowe but one thing I miss dearly since Covid would be demo. on different products. Where are the experts? I usually spend my time in the garden department because everyone knows more about the plants than I do. And these are just the patriences. What happened to actually salespeople?
