Lower Township Pool

I am a local who comes here every summer. Sometimes with just my daughter, and sometimes with my niece as well. It’s always a good time until one of the snobby, older life guards come over and ruin the fun for the kids. It’s already not too fun beings that they can’t bring their own floaties or floaters like any other pool, can’t play too loud, can’t talk too loud, can’t make dinosaur noises, or bring any toys. My daughter and a couple of new friends she made were making crocodile noises, while other kids were screaming to the top of their lungs at the other end. However, she decided to come across the entire pool to just my daughter, thinking I wasn’t her mother because my daughter is a lot lighter than me skin complexion wise. I was standing right there little did she know. Kids screaming to the top of their lungs at the other end of the pool, but you chose my six year old daughter to scold for being creative and playing a crocodile game she made up because they’re not allowed to do anything else. Rules about this, rules about that. The younger life guards are different. They never bother people and they are very respectful as well! If someone could tell me what days the younger staff is here, that would be great! I don’t appreciate being singled out almost every time we come here to have a good time. It starts to give me stereotype or racism vibes whether a black person works there or not. Big compliments to Riley who is a lifeguard there as well. She is amazing with children and I love it! Wish I knew which days she worked. There’s never any issues when the younger staff is there. I am a U.S Army veteran of seven years who was honorably discharged, and sometimes coming to this pool makes me feel like I’m back in boot camp. They just need to relax a little. Kids will be kids. Sheesh.

Ghis was our family’s first visit to pool since pandemic began, and were not aware there were no more day passes. However, out visit was rescued by The pool staff and department of rec who could not have been more helpful. Thanks to them we are now seasonal members for 2021 and had a great day making memories at the pool.

Great local pool, super clean and great size with friendly staff. to be noted that there's no shade really so bring an umbrella and your own chairs

It's nice other then the fact that you must pay even if you are pregnant with phomonia just taking your kids to swim I think that's ridiculous....and the price changed from time to time that I took them once it was 3$ for kids 4$ for adults now it's 5$ for both kid like make up ur mind

The best place in the area to come with the family and really good service and nice pool
