One of the best outdoor pools in Seattle. Lots of fun, and always clean.
I’ve worked in aquatics for 10 years. I am in grad school now so am not working in pools at the moment. I have NEVER interacted with such rude miserable staff in my life. Doesn’t matter what pool, or when you attend, Seattle parks and rec staff are terrible. Just quite frankly rude, poorly trained, and miserable to interact with. I have been swimming my whole life, and the pool has always felt like a sanctuary for me, I’ve never felt so unhappy and so unwelcome as I do when I go to a Seattle parks are rec pool. Just awful experiences all summer.
This was the very first place I swam when I was a few months old 22 years ago. I haven't been able to leave the water ever since. There is nothing better than the water. I remember taking my very first swim lessons with my 1x1 instructor... Later went to Queen Anne Pool since he had moved there, but still plenty of good memories at this pool
Great community pools that is a hit with the kids. The older kids swim in the larger pool while the younger kids tend to stick with the smaller, warmer pool. They have classes for all ages and the staff is friendly.
Water is a little warm and cloudy. But it’s lovely to swim laps outside.
24.5 meters long, and standard wide slightly less long due to deal with companies across the street to not allow swim meets. Good lifeguards, good pricing. Fridays are a good time to be there. Has a warm, small, shallow pool for kids and a normal pool as well.
Fun Seattle pool.... we have been going for 9 summers... when do the lifeguards get trained to be safe but polite. The way a few of them talk to the children is rude. Not necessary to be safe.
Great outdoor pool. Kids love the slide.
Went here for lap swim. Nice location and it's great that it's outside, but the pool water was very foggy and made lap swimming quite dangerous as it was hard to see more than 5 feet in front of yourself. Often times I would come into the wall and not see someone standing up against it and would nearly run into them. Lane lines were also small and essentially useless in combatting the waves made from other swimmers, which made for a very choppy swim.
Lots of people LOVE this pool. We've always found it a bit crowded and noisy. They have a slide and most kids seem to have a blast here. We're just not as enthused but your kids may love it.
