It was the end of the day and the lady serving hot food was so kind and honest with me. I appreciate that more than she knows. I ended up going with a tray that they made there that had their homemade pimento cheese in it and that stuff is probably the best I've ever had!
Food quality is top notch, atmosphere clean and inviting, most staff are polite and helpful. My complaint is more towards corporate I think because items are a certain price, but then a big buy 2 get 3 free sale appears only to find the product on sale has mysteriously had it's price raised by 20% or more during the sale, and drops back to normal price once sale is over. Just a completely dishonest approach to business. Now, we only shop there for produce.
I’ve always been a Harris teeter/ Publix shopper recently I stop by lowes foods for some steaks. I was shocked by the assistant from the beef shop who knew all about the different cuts of meat and how to prepare them from the temperature to the seasoning, always had issue with finding the right cut or seasoning from other places. Not to mention the great small talk we had. He also walked me to the spice isle to show me what spices to use to make it taste better. BEST STEAKS My family has ever had. I will continue to purchase meat from only here now. Thank you Danny for a pleasurable experience
We really enjoy the fact that you can have a drink while you ship but over the last 6-8 months the beer den selection has gone south. People like to drink beers other than IPA’s and that is all they ever have on tap with the occasional stout or cider. You have enough taps that you cater to different styles of beer. Not everyone likes to drink Christmas tree tasting beer IPA’s. We recently discovered another competitor that offers the same in store perk and after a few visits there we have decided to switch our business because they always have a wide selection of styles of beer.
Good quality produce and delicatessen items. Nice bakery. General merch is a little pricey. Nice beer selection with a draught beer nook.
Some of the staff go above and beyond their low hrly pay But overall Management and those in leadership positions are evil and do not have new employees best at hand.. Their are some individuals that are down right nasty with the way they handle meats and other prepared foods..Witnessing it all first hand do be careful of food poisioning..Trust no one you are mirely an individual whom they will attempt to chew up and spit out..Looking at everything from the outside will cause you to see the the elusions of good yet you never really obtain truth until you have stepped into it..Do what you need to do if working there is something you chose but don't get caught up in the unnesscary mess.. All communties have a evil side to them..
it’s a good location and great customer service but i really wish they would keep biolytes in stock. i need them to prevent myself from going to the hospital so i end up having to go to publix where it’s more expensive or to the lowe’s in mebane
Go to another grocery store. Lowes foods doesn’t pay their employees nearly enough. Which is why the service is often bad, and they’re always understaffed. They start at $9.50 and good luck getting more than a .20 cent raise from there. For a company that sells such expensive over priced groceries you’d think they’d a least pay their employees good. Nope it’ll be their downfall as a company
If you want to go down isle big enough for one cart come on down to the Lowe's food. If you want slightly higher prices on slightly better food, come on down to Lowes food. I will shop there again but only for a thing or two, no cart needed. I'm not balling on a budget either so I'm not looking for discount food. But if you are, this may not be the place. Overall good products and produce.
Sunday October 3, 2021, 9:00 pm no cashiers working. Self checkout only, fifteen customers waiting to use the self checkout. I saw at least five employees standing around laughing to themselves. I saw four employees on the aisle with oatmeal standing around talking.Lowe’s food is now officially worse than our only Harris-Teeter. The only good thing I can say about this grocery store is that they are open three hours more than HT! Edit: September 3, 2023: The lack of customer service at this store is disappointing. I no longer shop here much and at 10:00 pm I am reminded why. No cashiers. Three self checkouts only with multiple people waiting. Four employees behind customer service desk. Meats go bad before best by date. Shelf items on some are expired by more than a year. Found two tonight that had best by dates in 2022. Some expired months ago. If it wasn’t for the bakery items, I’d never return. I can’t recommend this grocery store, not even to my foes!
