Fresh produce and no-water-added, no-antibiotic meat are available. Lucky's food court and hot bar give you an option on the days you are lazy for cooking. My favourites in Lucky's: olive bar, apricot-pumpkin-seed bread, and brown cow yogurt.
Been coming here for about 3 years, always good service good selection and reasonable prices. The free Wi-Fi is great when you can connect fast and clean. Lately though I've had problems connecting..... I can log in and accept the terms of service. It connects and then nothing any ideas? Edit looks like it's fixed! No problems connecting and now with no sign-in or TOS required.
I could spend hours in here, you can walk around with a beer and do your shopping. A wonderful resource for people trying to reduce their waste. They have an amazing bulk section for everything, rice, nuts, spices, candy, etc. Their fresh meat is high quality and they have an amazing cheese selection. Lots of vegan groceries and reasonably priced veggies. Their alcohol section is amazing, shop by type/country of origin! The staff is always so friendly and helpful
I visited Lucky's for the first time this week, last time I was in this area the building was a large drug store. Needless to say, this is a vast improvement! My initial desire was to explore the bulk spices as recommended by some folks on the Columbia Reddit. They were right - the bulk spices are amazing, with a very wide variety and great pricing. They also sell other things in bulk like various nuts, many types of flour, grains, and dried fruits. But I couldn't stop there. The rest of the store beckoned, and I found myself just wandering the aisles looking at the unique brands and produce selections that the other more mainstream grocery stores don't offer. I went through their weekly advertisement page and found several items on sale that I couldn't resist. I've heard others compare it to a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, and I think it's an apt comparison. The parking was easy and expansive, with handicapped spots closest to doors, and the premises was very clean and well organized. For my first time there, it was very easy to know where to look for something. And just in case I couldn't find something, on two separate occasions employees stopped and asked if I needed assistance hunting something down. Maybe because I was spending so long reading nutrition labels and examining great stuff they thought I was lost! Lucky's will now definitely be a part of my grocery store rotation, certainly for their sale items, and most assuredly for the spices.
Unique grocery store with a friendly neighborhood feeling. Place with a great wine, beer, and gourmet cheese selection. Wonderful in house made sausages and bacon...beautiful salad bar, artisan style bakery products. Produce on weekly ad is always fresh and priced well. Not the place to stock up on black beans, but a great place to design a quick and healthy meal at a moment's notice while enjoying a glass of wine or beer as you shop. A favorite cheap date night for us!
This is the funnest grocery store you will ever go to. They have a tremendous selection of produce both organic and non-organic. They have a terrific bulk foods sections and they also have one of the best delis you'll find. The thing that sets them apart however is their house cured and butchered meats. They have a superb meats department. The prices are not the cheapest, but they are also not off the wall like some hipster natural/organic stores. Overall it is a good value for the quality of product you get. Oh yeah!!! They also have free fruit for the kids on every visit.
A fantastic deli and meat/seafood section with regular sales and specials. We can get custom sandwiches that are better than most restaurants. The fresh fruit and veggies section produce is always A+. I especially like the fresh squeezed orange juice and green power smoothie. The staff throughout the store and at checkout are always friendly and helpful. Checkout is always quick.
I don't go here for everyday groceries such as canned goods, baking supplies, pet food, etc. However, this is a great place to find fresh produce. Their meat counter also is great; my family especially loves the bacon. The wine and beer selection is excellent, the bakery is great and the made-to-order deli sandwiches are always good. I live for their beet salad.
Vital to the community! Has high quality stuff you can't get anywhere else. Best grocery store sushi in town. Great pizza. Great selection of cheese. Only grocery store near downtown. If you care about food, Lucky's is not replaceable.
Love Lucky's. Clientele tends to be on the "granola" side, but the staff are friendly and they have great food. Great produce selection. Their salmon is some of the best in town. They have good sushi, but not a lot of selection. Their pizzas are great. Huge liquor/alcohol store attached.
