Luxury From Scotland by Duncan Taylor

This review is going to sound like a repeat of the first, but considering what they went through, it feels especially relevant. Myself and my wife have lived in the area for more than ten years and in that time, we rarely see this space open, so when we did, we were very excited to go in. Myself, my wife, her parents and my child who also happens to be four were STANDING OUTSIDE the doors to this store, when my father-in-law had a wire planter catch on his clothing and it fell. No damage had come to the item, but some dirt had fallen out of the plastic flower pots, so my wife and I grabbed the bicycle-shaped planter and stood it up. Out of nowhere I hear someone say, "Don't touch it." I looked and saw this woman who must be the proprietor standing next to me. As the planter was titled still in my hands, I finished standing it up, and said someone thing to the effect of, "Sorry, we spilled some dirt." I will reiterate, there was not a scratch on this woman's planter, just some dirt on the ground. She said nothing, but instead gave a very dirty look to my child, who had nothing to do with the situation, and was just standing there. My father-in-law tried to explain what happened, but rather than listening, she picked up the planter, put it inside which is where it SHOULD since it could be so easily knocked over, and then stood in the door and gave another very pointed look to my son WHO HAD DONE NOTHING. She turned on her heel and walked away, and as she did I tried again to tell her what happened. She never looked back. Fortunately, my son is a very sweet child, and barely registered her rude behavior, but the ones holding the wallets most certainly did. I am a small-business owner and previously worked in the service industry for more than a decade, and I would NEVER treat anyone like this, let alone potential customers, let alone a FOUR-YEAR OLD CHILD. Rest assured that we will never spend a dollar at this store, and have already told several friends about the experience. I can't wait to see what new store moves into this space.
