I had a problem recently with American Airlines and after hours on the phone with reps and their supervisors, I decided to attempt to see if one of the agents at the counter could solve our issue. Thank goodness for Marc! He settled my issue without fuss and got my husband and me on our flight that night! Great service -- thank you Marc!
Cute, small airport. Close to Liberty University. Easy parking and car return. One issue... 2 visits in a row, the ONLY drink vending machine after security was "Out of Order". There is NO store, nor restaurant after security. You can go back through security to get a soda, but it must be finished before you go back through security. The only way to get anything to drink after security is to use a downstairs single water fountain.
If I could give no stars at all I would. Very Unprofessional and racist. I'm from Atlanta where we have the busiest airport and I still get the best service to my needs. I'm thinking it would be great here since it's a much smaller town. It's terrible. They have useless officers that can help or answer any questions. The same people that check you in are the same people that board the flight. It's all unorganized. I'm disappointed in Lynchburg Regional Airport.
The only major thing going for this airport is its size. Because it is so small, TSA is easy. But, there aren't that many departures, and all flights are American Eagle to Charlotte. The airport itself is nicely maintained and easy to get to, if you have a car or a shuttle.
Expensive airport to fly into or out of. American Airlines has a monopoly on all flights --- which only go to Charlotte and passengers connect from there. Understaffed at ticket counter and usually gate workers. Highly recommend using Roanoke or Richmond Airport with is cheaper due to more airline competition, and has proper staffing and better handling of irregular operations mechanical/equipment issues, weather problems, etc. American Airlines is pathetic and all flights are operated by contractors who are rude.
This is a nice no frills airport. From the parking lot to the gate is about a 5 minute walk. They also have a nice elevator.
Absolutely fantastic employees. I was a new flyer. Tried my best to pack efficiently and still held up the line. They were all sweethearts.
Small but an awesome regional airport! It's well run, very clean, easy parking access, car rental options. In my experience the various airlines employees are friendly and helpful, the security personnel are professionals but not over the top crazy in how they handle check ins. And with all jet service! It would be hard to find a nice small airport.
Must show up 20 minutes prior to flight boarding not departing . U should arrive 40 minutes b4 ur flight to ensure boarding if u only have carry on. U should arrive 1 hour 15 minutes before to ensure luggage boards with u.
This airport is a dream. Getting in and out is easy and the airport is modern and clean convenient. Parking is right across from the entrance. Airport is very convenient to Liberty University and Lynchburg University. For a small airport, it has a lot of great features including multiple rental car companies.
