Macalester Dance Marathon is a student organization designed to teach students the value of philanthropy by working throughout the school year to raise money and awareness for children battling long-term illness at the Gillette Children's Hospital in Saint Paul. Macalester Dance Marathon aims to unite the Macalester student body and the surrounding community through a celebratory Dance Marathon where everyone unites around the cause by staying on their feet to show respect for the children and families involved in the hospital system.
Macalester Dance Marathon is dedicated in supporting the Gillette Children’s Hospital in Saint Paul in any way that is necessary for the ensured care, health and happiness of children and families within the hospital system.
Dance Marathon is an annual campus event that allows any and all students to contribute to the greater Macalester community without regular commitment and raises awareness for children with pediatric cancers through a fun event. We want our event to be a collaborative space in which we stay on our feet and dance in solidarity for the kids who cannot.
