The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks chartered the Macomb Elks Lodge #1009 in 1906. Currently the Lodge has 450 members.
The B.P.O. Elks is a national fraternal organization of 2,000 Lodges with 180,000 members. The primary programs of Macomb Lodge include providing Scholarships for college-bound high school seniors, Veterans Service, Hoop Shoot, Soccer Shoot, Easter Bunny, Youth Activities, Antlers Youth Program,
Flag Day Service, writing grants to provide funds for worthy community investment programs, D.A.R.E. Program, Americanism Essay Contest, and
providing assistance to youth with special needs through our IEA Children's Care Corporation. To reward our members for their charitable endeavors the Lodge maintains the Antler Room Bar for socializing. Anyone interested in joining the Elks should call the Lodge at the number posted on this page.
