Most of the staff are friendly and nice. I'm putting this star because of nurse practitioner. She is EXTREMELY dis respectful and rude. And if I knew were I could complain about her that's were I would be. I'm really shocked she even has a job for how she treats patients.
I've dealt with Macon County Health Department at various stages in my life. They're a valuable resource. They offered affordable basic Healthcare when I was very young and uninsured. They vaccinated my children when they were small at an affordable nominal cost. Now, later in my life during this pandemic, they've vaccinated and tested me and my family. They were polite, gentle, efficient and most of all- free of charge! We never had to wait more than 15 minutes. I understand in TN, they want to abolish the health department. This would be a tragedy- especially for young people and the uninsured. Macon county is rural and undeserved already. The health department should have MORE Funding here, not less. But they do a fantastic job with what little they have.
They are breaking federal law and not giving out covid test to new patients they only give Covid test to current patients
Will not pick up phone. I have been on it for over ten minutes and counting. The waiting room is not kept very clean and service by the receptionist can be poor. The nurse practitioner is alright I suppose. And the back rooms are kept in good order and are seemingly clean.
They are wonderful, I have taken my grand children for physicals. They do a great job! I would recommend to anyone. God Bless they are wonderful and caring people.
Will not answer the phone..been calling for 2 days and overall spent 35+ minutes on just trying to set an appointment. They're all judgmental and gossip behind the desk to each other. Give you dirty looks based on your appearance and are very rude. If I didn't HAVE to go here I wouldn't.
Overall for a state ran facility this office is good. The NPs are kind and caring, and fairly knowledgeable. I get the feeling they could use more med staff, but thats normal. I couldn't afford any health care if this service was not available. The rooms are clean and o actually see the staff washing their hands. It's not as nice as a private clinic, but like I said, for a state ran medical facility it is good. Just wish some specialist were available .
Terrible, unclean rooms and facilities, no care, just chit chat all day behind their desks, treat you based on your appearance, no sense of urgency to test, treat or refer you anywhere even with severe symptoms that have been worsening! Sick, poor and dying for all i know! They don't test for anything, but infections.. Hope my prostate doesn't explode before i can get in to see the doctor at the end of next month!
Great staff I think the world of them all
Anyone know if they do drug testing and how much would it cost
