I cannot thank Macy’s Short Pump manager Leon and sales associates Hayam enough for their patience, kindness and generosity throughout my Mother’s Day shopping fiasco with a gifted VISA gift card. I do not recommend gifting them, what a frustrating mess they are to use! Hayam and Leon are a blessing to Macy’s and their customers. They made my day! Shop at Macy’s in Short Pump you won’t be disappointed and you’ll always leave happy.
It's big! Has two floors and a lot to pick. Honestly we didn't entirely search every section as we came here to look for some time of massager couldn't find but the toys r us section is cool! Obviously isn't as big as toys r us was back in the day but its still enough to be nostalgic ;,
They have a very old selection of lower end purses. Coach is cute but it is better to go to the Coach store in Williamsburg. Also they followed us around in the store but that didn't bother me. There was a woman with a toddler and a baby in a stroller that looked wealthy. She was stealing. She was putting items in the stroller. There was no one following her.
Showed up Monday Am. All Sale items were in disarray. Never seen a working store look so bad. Was told short handed. Deals were available. Was digging through. Cosmetics and not sale shoes dept in order. Guess people are ordering for pick-up???...
I just bought some jewels from Macys and the employee Cindy was wonderful. She was extremely helpful and professional with a great personality. One of my best shopping experiences. I will be back again just because of her.
Don't shop here unless you want bad service. On 8/1/23, at approximately 6:30 p.m., my mother politely inquired about recommendations on BareMinerals cosmetics and a very rude, racist sales worker responded "If you're not planning to buy anything, then I don't provide any service" further explaining she only assist customers for sales. She was very dismissive and proceeded to suggest we go to another store such as Sephora "to look". She assumed that since we are African American, there was serious intention of purchasing anything and walked away after her speech about sales. Her disposition was very rude and unpleasant. As a result of her unprofessional and mistreatment towards my mother, my family decided to leave the store because customer service was extremely poor. It was very disappointing to my mother and family, who were traveling out of town to visit relatives. I wish I had received her name and made a formal complaint. In the meantime, we most certainly purchased from another location and received better service.
This store used to be my go to for lots of things. Now, there seems to be no one working there and the few people who are, while well meaning, seem to lack support and training. Get it together Macy's!
We stopped by the cosmetics department in December of 2022 trying to buy gifts for family overseas. Noni Lamm assisted us and we were done with our purchases in no time. Noni was attentive, knowledgeable about different products, provided guidance but wasn’t pushy and, most importantly, she was efficient, courteous and respectful! She is the kind of customer care staff who will bring us back to the store. I found her card today and couldn’t help posting this comment, even months later. Thank you Noni!
Backstage was much cleaner and nicer people this visit. Cashiers were very nice and not aggressive and overbearing like the woman last time. Increased my rating from a 1 star to 4. Previous review: This place's backstage area is kind of ransacked. Also, the do not have a lot of people to check you out. Very long wait time in a line of 15+ people and ome person to ring you up. Also, this clerk needs to be addressed and coached. Not sure of her name but I did hear her tell a customer she was from Germany or lived there. As she was ringing up people she was harassing them about signing up for Macy's Rewards program. It was quite annoying because she was aggressive and excessive. When she was ringing me up, she asked me about the Rewards program. I said no but my spouse has it and is a huge Macy's customer. I told her I personally do not shop at Macy's but once in a blue moon. Long story short she asked me not once, not twice, not 3x but 6x for me to sign up for rewards by giving her my email address and she collecting information thay was not personal. I politely said no thank you and she was highly unprofessional and told me by me not signing up I was taking food off her table. I was completely apalled by her statement and kept my cool. She was out of line. The place was so limited of workers and my family & I were trying to make it to the next place on time that I did not seek a manager to report her but she was out of line. She was a tall, gray-haired woman that worked over in the Backstage area at the dual register station around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023. She needs to be addressed and stop harassing customers. It's highly unprofessional and once a customer tells you no by the 2nd or 3rd time, she just needs to stop.
