Customer service not so great. I went on my birthday. The lady was abrupt that took my order; made me feel like an interruption and not an appreciated patron. I ordered 4 chocolate items and give 4 stars on them, satisfying chocolate fix. There are no gluten-free items, and no plant-based milks. I drove 35 minutes and went after reading the online reviews. I would not go out of my way to return, but believe it's good tourist stop.
My husband and I stopped on this terribly rainy morning! We had to get our daily fix of the wonderful Tribe cookies and Chocolate treats. With it raining very hard outside, a hot cup of coffee and small lunch seemed to be the plan. My husband and I decided to split the chicken salad and Billy bread for lunch. Our waiter was the "owner", and he divided the lunch into two for the both of us by adding a little more for us to enjoy! The owner and his staff are exceptional people!!! A visit to Williamsburg would not be complete without stopping and enjoying the delicious treats and food at "Mad about Chocolate"!
So many tasty treats to choose from, I had a hard time, picking! I ended up with the triple chocolate brownie and it was all it looked to be! Tasty, delicious, gooey rich goodness! If only we had one here in Iowa!
The pastries, food, and people working at Mad about Chocolate are awesome. They were very polite and accomodating when I stopped by for lunch with my 19 month old son who is full of energy and even gave him an extra pastry snack that was cut into pieces sized for him.
Looked yummy. Turned around from the counter and my cookie shot off the plate like it was greased lightning. Probably not the best sized plate for the cookie. We told them what happened and all we got was an uncomfortable sorry. I know it was my fault, but... Probably won't be back.
A must if you love chocolate and are in Williamsburg. We stopped by for something sweet and we were blown away. What can I say, the chocolate chip cookie with chocolate mousse was perfect in every way. The mad bomb was ridiculous, the way it began to melt and glisten after you cut into it. Did we just try one or two ...no, selection of 6 different chocolatey choices with another 5 to go. We were all confused as to how this little unassuming corner shop could hold such secrets to happiness. Why is this confection shoppe hidden? It is truly unfair to have this gem hidden on a lonely intersection just outside the heart of colonial Williamsburg. 204 armistead Ave. Must be frequented by any visiting the area. All I know is the next time we are in Williamsburg there is no other option but to stop in and enjoy in a sweet escape from the ordinary.
Absolutely enjoyed the limited selection they have. Though I must say that this is not a chocolate "candy" store but they do have plenty of other delicious chocolate items, to include they do offer a lunch selection
I bought the bite size sample cookies and they were all good. I also purchased the Mad Balls and they are tasty and as well. Menu is very limited.
The double fudge brownie is in itself worth the trip. The cookies were great as well.It is right off merchants square so don't make the mistake I did n go to merchants square one day then to this place another u can kill two birds with one stone.
Oh over of the best places in downtown Williamsburg! There foods is great and their desserts are the best!!! Be sure to try their cookies!!
