Madison-Square Lanes

You would never guess that there was an entire bowling alley in the lower level of the building. This place is frozen in time from the 1970’s but is super clean and with updated electronics for easy play.

Our favorite bowling alley. We love that its not modernized! Classic and super cool. Great owners. Nice people. Fantastic lanes. Love the dark bar too!

Went here last night with my family. We had a very nice time. Great environment and kid friendly. Clean and nice.

A hidden gem beneath Madison Avenue. For good old fashioned bowling fun, it’s hard to beat this conveniently located alley. Yes, it’s cash only there’s an ATM and I can’t speak to how often they oil the lanes for more serious bowlers but if you want to go have fun bowling, this place checks all the boxes. There’s a bar for drinks, arcade games and a pool table. The pricing is reasonable. I believe the games were about $4 each and $3 for shoes we had 5 people rent shoes and bowl 2 games for $56 or so. It’s definitely kid friendly - to the point where you might wish they’d enforce some rules when absent parents won’t - but I guess I just wouldn’t come here on Saturday night if I were a super serious bowler. Easy going, friendly staff. Will definitely return.

If you're a bowler never bowl here. They say they oil them every day but there's no way. The spare ball moves just as much as the strike ball. It's crowded on the lanes and nowhere to put your coat or belongings let alone your bowling bag. Everything is cash only too, dude tried to tell me he's worked there for 20 years yet they still don't know about Visa and MasterCard. Find anywhere else, cool place if you want to drink and play arcade games, just never ever bowl here.

Our first time here and we loved it. Affordable games $4.50 per person, $2 shoes, pool table, bar, food, darts, arcade games. Everything. They run a special on Fridays where if you get a "red-pin" strike, your game is free! We got a few chances but couldnt knock em down. Still an awesome Friday date night away from the big crowds. Give this place a try!

At 5$ a game per person, they should use the money to maintain their lanes. Worst conditions I’ve ever bowled in by far

Stand corrected they took permently close done and place is still in business. Not sure who put that on google. Even talked to guy ealier today and will be open. as here in 2018 or 2019 as ok. They also had 9 foot pool table and arcade. Too bad I didn't shoot on their only pool table 9 foot since I was with other people how only wanted to bowl only.
