My partner emailed twice asking about accommodating a dietary restriction, and received no response from management. Shockingly rude! Still, we tried to come for dinner and were turned away 45 minutes before closing. The “speakeasy” bar in the basement was open late, but was terribly noisy and claustrophobic, and after waiting for service for 20 min we left. We will NOT return!!! Treat your customers as welcomed guests, for goodness sakes! I’m still upset at this bad-attitude restaurant for ruining our date night.
Won't be back. The food was cold likely due to the too casual bartender/reluctant server who was too busy talking to his friend at the bar. The 8 customers present on Sunday morning weren't a priority. I mean pay attention a little bit. Pretend to care a little bit. My fried were soggy and greasy.Food: 3/5
The rating never lies. Just so you know the meat is great but anything else, is not good. You know if you gonna give some vegetables, plz at least give some fresh vegetables, they are not expensive you get it in winco! Service are nice but we don’t get napkin until we asked. Server are nice tho! Place are small just so you know. Overall, drink options are great, meat is great, atmosphere is great.
Today was our first visit to Magenta. They offer extensive outdoor seating but we chose the coolness of inside. It's a nice vibe indoors with wood paneling, mirrors, decorative drapes, and interesting art. The background music was a smooth piano jazz with elements of bossa nova. The food was delicious. I had the Mi Ga and my boo had Pad Thai. The flavors were layered and delicate. We will be back!
Stopped in for a light dinner, turned out to be a great find. Very tasty food, great drinks, and really nice atmosphere. Our server Claire was attentive and friendly without overdoing anything. Will try it again if we get back to Corvallis.

After years in the Corvallis area, finally took the opportunity to dine at Magenta and they didn't dissapoint. The rice crepe is a staple for them and it was good. The filling was fresh veggies with a delicious savory sauce inside. The crepe was a little dry and the sauce on top seemed a bit too much like mainstream ranch. The stake was a much better choice. Cooked really nicely, juicy, tender and a delicious sauce to boot. The bun appetizer was quite yummy as well. The orange mousse was good, but had a bit too strong an orange extract flavor as opposed to a fresh hint of orange I prefer. All in all a great meal with warm, friendly, attentive service at a reasonable price.
Magenta is a real gem in Corvallis!! We loved the cozy atmosphere with the fireplace, low lighting, and lush chairs around tables arranged for privacy. We were absolutely wowed by the outstanding food, including BBQ pork tacos, green chicken curry, shrimp pho, and rice noodles with mushrooms and tri-tip. Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared and spiced. We Oo-ed and Ah-ed our way through our whole meal. Our waiter, Justin, was wonderful in every way, with that rare and intuitive knack of knowing when to help us and when to leave us alone. If we lived close by, we'd be there every week, and already look forward to returning asap!!
The food was barely room temperature. No reason for rice at room temperature. Also .... Fried wontons that are cold? Yikes, nothing worse than fried dough that's not hot! The meat was good but side sauces very lack luster.Food: 3/5
Magenta is easily Corvallis’s Best Restaurant. Magenta in Corvallis Oregon is so clean, has delicious artisan eats, private restrooms, free parking, indoor and outdoor dining, and has super friendly team members and management. I love the vegan tofu fried rice with a side of plum sauce.Food: 5/5
