"The Burton’s expanded several times and became a huge success for many years in Corvallis. After their retirement on January 22, 2006, it was up in the air what should become of the historical site. The restaurant was split into three separate parts creating three separate businesses. The Solstice Cafe, GK1, and alas WiseCracks Cafe. After trying to fill the space with another retail occupancy, the city’s response changed the new owners mind. Several people begged him to maintain the spot as a restaurant, which was much more challenging. The Dale’s noticed the spot in March of 2006. They looked at it and saw huge potential for their dream to come true. The papers were signed and they began creating a new restaurant staple in Corvallis."

Very popular brunch spot in Corvallis, be prepared to stand in the line at least half an hour during weekend rush hours. It’s very noisy and crowded, so if you are looking for a cozy restaurant it’s not yours. Food is delicious and service is fast. Pancakes, French toasts and home fries are really good. Also Julia’s Love Child from their menu.
I love coming here, frequently there is a line but with the sign in sheet it goes super smoothly. Waiters and waitresses are always so friendly and prompt. Food is always great, hot and fresh. Great place for a weekend breakfast or brunch, but it does get pretty loud sometimes.Food: 5/5
So far my favorite breakfast restaurant in Corvallis! I ordered the western omelette with a fruit cup. One of the best omelettes I have had in a while. And the fruit was very fresh looking forward to getting back over there!Food: 5/5
Very cute restaurant! I loved the cleverness of their theme and the family-friendly vibe. The service was great and the food was delicious. The basic breakfast food with a tiny twist to make this place stand out from all other breakfast places. It is just outside of the Oregon State campus, making it a great place for the students to come after an all-nighter or just hang out. It's also great for families that come to visit with a little play area for the kiddos, featuring a chalk boards and wooden toys, etc. Not a playroom with slides, etc It is a popular place, especially on the weekends, so plan on accordingly. We went at 10 am on a Fri morning and got right in. It's definitely a place I recommend and looking forward to the next time I get to eat there.
Everything was excellent, from the coffee to the food! Our server, Suzette was perfectly attentive and friendly. Thank you!! We plan on making WiseCracks Cafe our regular breakfast date spot from now on!Food: 5/5
We didn't get a refill on water until we went to go pay. They didn't ask what we wanted to drink until we placed our food orders after waiting for 20 minutes with our menus. Food is amazing though and the drinks are really good. Parking: There is a parking lot at the backside of the restaurant but there is also an entrance to the restaurant from the parking lot. Main entrance is located on the street.
Large crowd waited for this, and I now see why. This food was really, really good. Service was great considering how busy they were. Shout out to Miss Suzette as she heard my teen son's voice was weak due to a sore throat from yelling at football, she brought over warm tea and honey. We didn't ask for it. She just brought it as a courtesy. Good service and food. I recommend the Cowboy Benny.
The food was amazing! I don't remember for sure the name of the order I got, but I think it was something like Cajun skillet... it had chorizo in it, whatever it was. I have never had Chorizo that good before! It stood out. It was my first time visiting and coming here. I'm glad my boyfriend's parents took us here. It's definitely a great breakfast spot. I also noticed they had mimosas here. So it could be a good brunch spot as well. Dietary restrictions: They obliged my dairy allergy and left off any cheese from my order. Just a heads up, for the toast, you will have to ask while ordering for them to leave the butter off of it. It comes with it.
Worth the wait. Huge portions, crispy hash browns, perfectly cooked bacon, a variety of cocktails and good service... just the kind of breakfast place we were looking for. Definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
A real small town classic, formerly Broken Yolk, new name but same everything else. This restaurant is the best ever, the staff are so kind and helpful. The food was amazing, just as I remembered. The jam is so good and needs to go on everything. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. Great decor and go Beavs
