I’m truly satisfied with the improvements that this theater has made. The new seats are far superior from what they used to be. I find myself visiting this particular theater, more and more often compared to other AMC throughout the city the price of this Theatre is decent. It seems that movie tickets seem to just be headed in one direction and that’s up.
This place is a fantastic movie theater! AMC Magic Johnson in Harlem has every major movie on display! It's super easy to pre-order tickets online or in-store through self service kiosks, and use your phone for a mobile ticket! If you'd like to save money on admission - choose an early screening which are usually 20%-25% off the original price. Don't forget to silence your phone! I wish I came here more often!
Haven't been to the movies years since The Best Man Holiday spent my niece birthday here today and overall was amazing I recommend this movie theater
Had a wonderful time attending a Film Festival…only issue was we were on the top floor and neither the escalators nor the elevators were in working conditions.
Filthiest theater I’ve been to in years. Stained carpets, non working escalators, litter everywhere stench of cigarettes and bathroom in the hallways. At least inside the theater the seats are comfy and it’s reasonably clean.
This is our neighborhood theater and we've been dozens of times in the past few years, but it's becoming a pretty bad experience. It seems like the company is not investing in the staff and is continually leaving them short. There are usually only 3-4 visible employees on weeknights. A few months ago, no one was working the projector and the movie didn't start--patrons had to go complain to get them to start the movie 20 min. late. Last week, the lights were just full fluorescent on through all of the previews, and people had to complain to get them turned off for the movie. The staff are usually pretty nice--it just seems that management is putting too much on them. In terms of crowd vibe, for big action movies, it can be fun. However, there have also been times where people just have their phones out with super bright screens during the movie distracting, one dude was just chatting on the phone once, and another time a guy was full-on smoking. As others have said, the theater feels like a run-down ghost town, and the escalators are always broken. We pay $5 to go on Tuesdays, but I cannot imagine how AMC thinks they can charge $20 on other nights. Now they are rolling out the AMC SIGHTLINE insanity where you pay more if you want a good seat. They are completely out of touch. People are not going to your theaters because the experience is not worth it. Make the experience better and people will come back. Get it together, AMC!
Witnessed “The Little Mermaid” remake at this location and have nothing but kind things to say about this location! It is fairly easy to get to, plenty of food and drink options and the reclining seats were fabulous! Will return this summer!
They need more people on staff to provide customer service. They also need to make sure the seats in the Dolby theater work and recline. I went to see Flash and the seat in Dolby would not recline. I went to customer service to switch seats but there was no one in the customer service booth, the only person available was the person at the ticket booth, but she was the only person on duty.
Lucky we only go here for the movie and not the theater! It's poorly managed. There doesn't seem to be enough staff! Wait times are long! Give yourself lots of time to buy snacks and find your seat!
I had a great time Sunday 10am in the church service room 8. I thought was a movie but it was better than a movie .
