I'm very disappointed with the doctors here. The receptionist and referral coordinator are very kind, but I feel the doctors here are behaving unethically in regards to taking, or not taking, new patients. I have been denied to see a doctor here twice via referral. They've never seen me but have made decisions not to see me based on my medical records. I have an elevated ESR, systemic inflammation nose, joints, muscles, asthma, rash on face, rash left lower eyelid, episcleritis, etc. The inflammation is everywhere, autoimmune disease and many other problems. The doctors refuse to see me because they say I don't have systemic inflammation. Even if that were the case, I obviously have autoimmune disease and need to be seen by a rheumatologist. I can't get one anywhere near me so I now have to drive two hours away, if possible because I have a vertigo problem, so I likely won't see a rheumatologist at all. I can't believe doctors are making medical decisions about people they haven't even seen. The referral specialist offered to pass a message for reconsideration for an appointment but I decided against that. They have already decided what isn't wrong with me without seeing me and if they really don't want to see me then they are not likely to help me during a visit. How can they just turn everyone away like this? So many patients can't get into a specialist so we're left without care. Even if the wait time is 6 months to a year to see a doctor it's much better to wait than to not see a doctor at all. How awful.
I guess we are all different. I really like Dr.Maier. something about him makes me feel comfortable. He's given me a diagnosis, with testing, he's kept up on me and hasn't given up. I drive about an hour to see him. I saw a comment that he will be retiring and that makes me sad,I just saw him yesterday. The office staff are good people to! And those damn purple chairs,I want them . If you know, you know. Thank you Maier for your hard work and your dedication to my health
Zero stars. I was referred here months ago. I’ve called once or twice a week for months. I’ve left messages every time. I still have not gotten ahold of anyone and no one has called me back. The few times I’ve gotten to speak to a receptionist I just get transferred to another line where I leave another message. Their referral person seems to be out of town always? I’m just about ready to ask my primary care doctor to refer me somewhere else, clearly this clinic is either too busy or does not want patients.
I have been going to Dr. Maier since 2017. I have always been treated with respect . I love my nurses; they are the best. I have always been able to get an appointment when needed. Calls have always been answered and returned. Helped me get started on new medication. They are the greatest .
I live about an hour and a half away and had an appointment THIS morning and on my way when I receive a phone call telling me they are unable to see me today due to a change in policy they determined late LAST night. I find this unprofessional and rude. I have waited over 6 months to even get in and they don't even have the common courtesy to give me 24 hour notice. I wasted my time,, money and gas traveling there. I now have to rego through referall process and who knows how long before I actually see a dr for my condition. Don't waste your time and just go with someone else.
Dr. Lamichhane is an excellent Dr. He was very thorough in his assessment, a compassionate listener & diagnosed a problem that I had seen several other physicians for.. He took the time to answer my many questions & actually called me to discuss my lab results. When I needed to be seen again for an immediate situation, I was able to see him that day. My other option would've been the ER so I was very grateful. The office staff are very professional & kind. They assured me that they were there to help if the problem arises again. I feel such relief having found this very competent Dr. to help me during a difficult time with challenging health issues.
I was recommended to this office by my primary care doctor after having multiple issues regarding joint pain / back pain, etc. I’m a diabetic with different auto immune issues so this was something I wanted to get figured out. Months of laying in bed each morning in pain and Dr.Maier was who I got, from the start he was always tough to deal with, never really seemed interested or involved in our conversations when I went to visit him. Or he was too busy talking with one of his medical students that he wouldn’t even barely look at me. It made me laugh and want to punch a hole in a wall one time when he was ushering me out the door after a visit that lasted 7 minutes, yeah. 7 MINUTES. And I asked him what about my blood work? And he said oh yeah and pulled it up. Seriously? I was going there for about a year and in that time I got zero answers and zero help. All of my time there involved him either saying let’s meet back up in a little or sending me out for blood work and then rinsing and repeating. His nurses actually listened and seemed more genuine then he did. You can very clearly tell this man is just irritated with his work and is only here for his paycheck. Our final visit ended on obviously very angry terms since I was tired of being pushed around For over a year. Needless to say I’m moving on to another professional in Portland or Bend because his office is simply terrible. Why even go into a business like this one when you don’t give a **** about anyone you look after.
He is a great and very patient doctor. He has a wonderful staff member's working with him.0
The office is disorganized and the staff unhelpful. The new patient coordinator and the office manager have the worst customer service skills I have ever seen: not returning phone calls and voicemails, not listening to what the patient is saying, not following through on their job, sighing and yawning loudly in my ear I've the phone, being defensive and reactive, and offering no compassion or assistance. I would not go into this office I was paid to. All I wanted was a reason why my referral for a second opinion was denied and it took over 1 month to get a single sentence answer that contained no reasoning whatsoever. Very disappointed and disturbed.
I have gone to Dr Maier for a few years now and he and his staff have ALWAYS been courteous, helpful and kind to me. He has always been so kind to me and listened to what I would say to him and I look for his input on what to do and he has helped me in getting answers I have been struggling with for years and getting help for them to improve my quality of life with pains I endure. He is very thorough and I'm grateful about that. His staff has always been professional and kind to me and helped me feel comfortable. He has never given me the impression that I have to be on this drug or that drug, and if I wanted to try a few natural ideas first before going to medication, he would be okay with that. Grateful for him and his staff all these years. Even his new associate Dr Lamichane is very nice and professional and helpful. I have no idea personally why there are people saying bad ratings about him or his office. I have never witnessed that kind of behavior in all the times I have been seeing him as my Rheumatologist.
