Opening 2015
Malibu, Calif. (April XX, 2015) – Cisco Adler, a local entrepreneur who has called Malibu his home since birth, announces the opening of Malibu Burger Company in summer 2015. The restaurant will serve a selection of healthy gourmet burgers and other casual fare in a beautiful creek-front setting in the heart of Malibu’s Civic Center. The restaurant is the realization of Adler’s dream to have a place people feel comfortable visiting multiple times in a given week. “The goal for Malibu Burger Company is to provide the kind of family-friendly, every day eatery I’ve longed for in my hometown. I want to create a community hang out where locals and visitors alike feel at home and get a taste of The Bu.”
Adler and his partner Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, a Malibu resident and multi-platinum songwriter/producer and entrepreneur, are joined in the endeavor by Adler’s longtime friend and celebrated chef Aaron May and restaurant industry veteran Benjamin Priest.
The Malibu Burger Company’s menu will consist of a burger program with a selection of farm-to-plate patty and condiment options that can be mixed and matched by diners. The menu will also feature healthy alternatives like salmon, quinoa burgers, and bun-less burger bowls. The locally-sourced selection of quality ingredients and carefully curated local beer and wine lists will be served in a relaxed, casual atmosphere created by designer Matt Winter, who like much of the Malibu Burger team also grew up in Malibu and is known for projects such as Djusta and 41 Ocean Club.
“Malibu is a place where the connection to the water and the mountains is primary. We are thrilled to partner with Cisco Adler to bring his restaurant to life in a way that will engage the community and visitors, as well as provide a renewed experience with creek-front views,” said Jamestown President Michael Phillips.
