The Malvern School and Community Health and Wellness Center is dedicated to providing health services to our school and community.
At the Malvern School and Community Health and Wellness Center, we are working to improve the health status of children, youth, staff and community by advancing and providing health care by medical practitioners. Our main focus will be student well-being and success. Ideally, the full scope of services and resources will be provided based on the needs dictated by the school and community. The center will reduce health inequities and improve health care access to many who otherwise might not receive medical attention. Physicals for athletics, flu shots, education for parents in medical issues, and screenings will be provided. In addition to providing physical health care, the center will seek to provide dental care.
Our hours are from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Our supervising physician is Dr. Larry Brashears, and Melanie Newman, APRN, will be seeing patients. Beginning in the fall of 2016, we will also be open on Fridays from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm for dental screenings by Drs. Matt and Jessi Teale.
