Founded in 2004 and officially launched in 2010, MansaWear creates made-to-measure clothes that are form fitting and figure-flattering. Nita Brown designs limited edition outfits from select patterned fabrics for uniquely you pieces. The exclusivity of each piece derives from how MansaWear creatively combines and re-arranges the patterns in the fabric. This is also enhanced by the fabric manufacturer's strategic policy or not repeating their designs. Outfits are made from 300-600 count cotton, sewed in Ghana and shipped globally to customers.
On December 6, 2013, MansaWear opened a boutique on Park Avenue.
MansaWear outfits can be ordered through our website, at our studio or during our trunk shows. Because MansaWear outfits are made in Ghana and shipped to you, there is a 30-day lag between ordering and receipt. Whether you place your order online or during a trunk show, you will receive our individualized attention as we work with you on fabric choice, style, body measurement and the flow of the piece within your wardrobe.
Our offering includes: women and limited menswear, accessories and seasonal footwear.
MansaWear uses three main fabrics in its design: Woodin, basaan and KenteNouveau. Woodin fabrics features 300 - 600 count cotton in various patterns. While basaan is 100% jacquard, KenteNouveau is a twist on the hand-woven classic Kente using silk, synthetic & cotton fibers.
