Went to Steve’s for a leaky tire repair. Good prices and great service! They also have a great free air pump that automatically stops at the set pressure. So quick and easy.
I had a Dash board light on and I thought it meant I needed a Oil change which the sticker in the windshield showed it was due. I had to park my car and they came out and drove it in the garage which they had to see it was on. Was told Hondas need the synthetic oil which it’s $74.99 it’s a 2011 not a 2022 vehicle declined and said just put the cheap oil in. I also had to do a calibration. Was done in a half hour which I was very Pleased. Paid and left. The dashboard light was still on I pulled out the manual when I got home and it means Low tire pressure. Not one word about it and I would have thought the mechanic would had addressed it. Or said something about it??? Now I filled up the tires and it’s still on not sure what is next! Wish they would have addressed it!
Steve's had always been great to me. They've helped me with oil changes on my F-150 and replacing two struts in the front. Great work and even better prices!
I needed to tow my truck to shop after it broke down, called Steve's auto and I spoke with Howard, he promptly dispatched a tow truck first thing in the morning for me so that i can get to my projects asap. Donny driver came by to hook the truck, he was awesome! Very professional and respectful and time efficient! Will use them again, thanks!
I brought my work vehicle to this shop twice. I didn't have very good experiences both times. This shop you can't schedule a specific time to get work done. You drop your vehicle off and they will get to it when they can. My first experience They had my van for 5 days to do repairs that should not have taken more than 2 days. Then when I picked it up the price I payed was a few hundred more than I was quoted. My second experience I dropped my van off because my radiator was leaking. I got a decent quote over the phone to have it fixed Several days later I got a call that the radiator was fixed But there is still an overheating issue. That would cost me an additional 374$ to fix. I've driven this van for 6 years It's never overheated. Then I was told it would be 3 more days before they could get the parts needed. I made one phone call to and found the part needed I went and purchased the part the next morning and brought it to them. I then get called back a few hours later that is is ready to be picked up. I paid for it. Then drove 5 miles and it overheated. I got it back in worse condition than it brought it to them In After spending over one thousand dollars. Then I had to bring it somewhere else to get it properly repaired..
I am always hesitant going to any auto shop because of past experiences, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received! My car broke down on Christmas, but I was able to get it towed the next day to Steve's. They were upfront with me about how busy they were holidays of course, but let me know it would be looked at next day. The next morning, they called to let me know my drive axel broke and gave me an estimate on price. They ordered the parts, repaired the car, and called me around 8am the next morning to let me know it was done. When I arrived to pay the bill, they lowered the price on the diagnostic because it was pretty obvious when they took a look. They also give you a free carwash with any service, which was a great perk with all the snow and salt. Overall, I had the most positive experience I have ever had with an auto shop, and I will definitely return for any future services needed.
I stopped in tonight and as I was sitting in the waiting room, there was another gentleman who was at the counter paying for his service. I had overheard the conversation and how poorly this customer was treating the employee and it was so bad that I couldn’t help myself but to intervene and say something which the customer even retaliated and snapped his fingers at me, demanding me to “stay out of it” which I then told him no, I will not stay out of it when he’s being a bully to the nice employee like this especially when my 3 year old son was sitting in the waiting room with me watching the way this gentleman was acting. Coming from someone whose worked in the customer service industry my entire life, and have even managed a lot of those places, I’ve experienced a lot of customers who feel as if they are better than everyone else just like this gentleman was coming off as. Either way, I just want to give a shout out to the gentleman who was working behind the counter. Not only did he handle the entire situation with such class, but he was very respectful to this rude customer who seemed to me like he was just trying to find any way possible to get something for free / discounted out of the whole ordeal. After hearing what had happened, I told this upset gentleman that he was being extremely rude and how the company could’ve easily turned him away after the scheduling error but instead of doing so, they squeezed him in the schedule and made it work. But unfortunately that didn’t seem good enough for him. I explained that it’s sad he is so ungrateful because it’s customers like him that are contributing to the worlds employee shortage. Mistakes happen and the fact that Steve’s Auto Worlds employees handled the situation the way that they did and how apologetic they were and actually seemed sincere about it, is why I will be recommending them to everyone! That’s some awesome customer service guys !! Keep up the good work and I’m sorry y’all have to deal with such unhappy, unappreciative and ungrateful people like that.
The only pleasant part of my experience was the tow truck driver himself - everything else about the experience sucked. The tow truck took over an hour past the original ETA, I was told that they could bring it back to the shop and get it looked at it right away. As it turned out, it was just a dead cell in a battery which is why I couldn't jump it and needed a tow They charged me over $400 for replacing a battery, absolute price gouging for something that is commonly 200 bucks. What's worse, the service was abysmal when I got to the shop, I had to physically walk onto the shop floor to get someone's attention and it took them minutes from there to see me. They were rude, short and explained away the overpriced battery telling me it took them upwards of Sam how to uncover the problem. Plus, I asked them to check out some lights on my dashboard and they didn't even bother. Absolutely save your money, they held me hostage because I was towed there and had no other choice.
Everyone here is great. Went in for a transmission leak, was able to get a loaner car. My favorite thing is that they take pictures and send you a link so you can see first hand the issues going on and the importance of the issue.
Came in scheduled an oil change. Noticed the bright yellow sign that said "pay with cash get 3% off". I said to Dennis that's cool! I'll bring cash when I pay. He didn't acknowledge me said "we have a 5pm appt available". I said "okay. See ya at 5pm". Came back at 5pm and Dennis was standing behind the counter. Staring at me. Didn't say Hi, didn't ask me my name, didn't ask me what I was in for. I just looked back at him said "Melissa 5pm oil change." I handed him my keys and didn't say much else to me. The oil change was very fast and appreciated. Then Dennis waved me over. I said "I am paying in cash so I get that 3% off". He didn't say a word to me. Just said "$84.03 is your total" I tried handing him cash and he said "NO we are going to the counter". I walked up front well behind him and he was standing away from me at the other register. I paid not noticing I didn't get that discount. He said "did you hand her the car wash slip" and he walked away. No thank you for your business. Nothing. Went to my car and looked at the receipt and I did NOT get the discount. I walked back inside and asked the guy that checked me out if I missed it. He said no. Dennis was either having a bad day or just didn't like me. It's only 3% but if youre advertising it, give it to people. And maybe acknowledge your female customers existence. Unfortunately, I won't be back.
