NOT OPEN 24 HOURS—— Currently been sitting outside this CLOSED Speedway wondering how they can be listed as open 24 hours when the overnight guy closes the store nightly for however long he wants to. Three people besides me have walked up since I’ve been here,!tried the door, which is locked, and looked at the sign that reads Closed for Cleaning 2am-3am. Right now I t’s 3:50am. This happens almost every time I come to this location after midnight. It’s pretty frustrating. There goes one more confused customer, walking up to the door, looking at the sign, then the time, aaaand back to their vehicle, scratching their head. Google says it’s open 24 hrs. It says that was confirmed by this business 2 weeks ago. I’m here to tell you, this location is NOT open 24 hrs. Between midnight and 6am, it’s a roll of the dice whether or not you can purchase anything besides gas at the pump, if you have a card with which to do so. 3:55 now. No sign of anyone cleaning in there. I need gas, and I only have cash. I’ve been sitting here since 3:30.
I was at Speedway in Maple Grove today 12/13/22 around 4:20 and I stood in front of pump 11 for 5 mins trying to get the credit card reader to work. I eventually moved to another pump and it worked easily. I called Speedway and spoke to an incredibly rude employee and informed him that the card read on pump 11 does not work and they should probably put a sign there to notify customers so others don’t experience the same frustration I did. The employee told me that they knew that it sometimes did not work. Then I asked why they wouldn’t put a sign there, and then the employee responded with, “ we won’t put a sign there, BYE.” I am simply amazed I got such a rude response. This employee isn’t fit for any role in customer service.
Should be open 24hrs but the night crew always locks the doors. Not even a sign this time saying what they're "doing". And the phone is off the hook. Whatever employee "working" overnights driving the dark Ford explorer seriously needs to be fired. You are paying him for absolutely nothing but negative reviews and hemorrhaging profit. Now this dude has all pumps turned off! Never going to my main hometown gas station again. FIRE THIS SOB!!!!
manager said she needs the general manager to stop begging people to work here... hm. i'm confused because every time i come to this location it smells weird, awfully rude customer service, and a different worker that doesn't come back after a day are frustrated and takes it out on customers. shoot if i was the gm i'd sing to hire people. it's not like this is a place where people will be begging to work at anyways. her comments really turned me off but it's cool because... look at where she works at.
Some staff are ok but the other day one lady i believe a staff member? was sitting behind the counter eating and babbling nostop to the staff running the cash register while they are helping customers. She wasnt using the best language either. Kinda feels like a "rough" store
The fact that I went in to buy scratch offs, every other speedway I have been to accepts debit transactions for their lottery. The employee refused to even try to run a debit transaction for it. Even if the debit system was down or something she continued to say “Cash only” and didn’t explain if the system was down or not. Just 2 words Cash Only repeated over at least 4 times in the span of 2 minutes.
I didn't see the sign on the pump that said pay inside so worker manager older dude comes outside halfway across the parking lot and starts yelling at me to come pay inside so my bad on that When I go into pay with credit card The credit card machines remove card Bell goes off and the guy says are you gonna remove your card not even 1 second had gone by When I tried to explain to him I'm a little slower than others and he should take his time he totally blew me off and walked away without saying anything very poor customer service by the manager
They are EXTREMELY understaffed. The employees are really slow at their job. They only have 1 cashier ringing even if the line gets 4 or 5 deep. You can clearly see other employees standing around when they're busy, but they never jump on a register to help. If I could give this place a 0 star review, I would.
Most of the time at night the doors are locked. Even though someone is working. They need to hire more people who care!
Terrible service! Cashier on his phone texting the whole time he was ringing me up! Never be back!
