Been going to this location for years. It's always a great place for a movie and good food. The staff are always great. Love the dream lounger recliners. The parking is also convenient having their own lot
The chosen seats were great, the concession stand moved really fast and the food was good. I would advise anyone to try this movie theater! Oh by the way, Indiana Jones did it again. What a super movie with suspense, action, and fun. Even the seats were comfortable. Who could ask for anything more.
The employee who took our food order/ prepared it was great. Besides that, we were reminded why we try to see movies at the Avalon. When the movie started no one turned the lights out. My friend had to get up and tell someone so she missed the beginning of the movie as did I and the other audience members because it was too bright to see anything. Paid for a large fountain drink and the machines were dispensing pure syrup/ were out/inoperable. The dream loungers are nice, tho.
As much as we wanted to enjoy our movie. The place is poorly supervised. groups of teens walked in and no staff checked for tickets. Our movie was filled with people who snuck in. People talked the entire time. Security came during movie and warned the people talking. After they left the guy got up and looked at the crowd trying to intimidate everyone. Worst experience I’ve ever had and we will not be going back to this location. We left half way through the showing as we feared for our safety.
Very comfortable seating and very clean theater. Saw the Talking Heads. Friends ordered food and they brought it right to us. Fun night.
Customer service is great, the people are nice, management is nice as well. The food is warm when it needs to be. Tou can order food and have it brought to your seat or just order and pick it up at the counter. It is also always cleanbathrooms included.
I have been coming to South Shore for over 30 years. The staff is always professional. The concessions is always done right. The theaters are always clean. I'm never dissapointed when I come here.
Great experience on Friday the thirteenth watching a scary movie with the kiddos!!
Please "like" this review by clicking the 'thumbs up' below. One of my best movie going experiences recently. Lots of parking. Purchased tickets in advance, but there was no line to wait. Lots of food menu options. I had boneless wings & fries. Mom had pretzel bites. Granny had popcorn. Leather, full recline seats. Temperature was comfortable. Restrooms needed attention was a con. First time visitor from Houston, 7/5/18.
Not too bad, but it was a little cheeky sitting in the sticky vinyl covered lounge chairs. Any bare body parts stuck to the chairs. Ewww. Also found some unidentified liquid in the cup holder. Got the "unsalted popcorn". It was salty. Had the big drink and had to go pee midway in the movie. Lucky the wife filled me in what I missed. Also someone near me farted. Stunk really bad, so they could use better air circulation.
