It's good Mexican comfort food. I read some bad reviews and also some good. I gave it a try with the family and the consensus was it's a good outing with great prices for the area. I got the carnitas plate and nachos with shredded beef...both were on point. Wife got the crab enchiladas...not so on point tasted like fake crab. Friend got the beef fajitas...again on point. So with this one meal I'm suggesting meat dishes. Warning, don't bother with the cocktails, they only have a license for wine and beer so the margs and pina coladas are from a pre-mix with alcohol so low you would swear it's a virgin.
Friendly, quality service. The waitress/hostess gave me the restroom key when I asked to go to the bathroom; she attended us as soon as possible and got our drink orders in. Piña colada with mango flavor was amazing! Then we ordered our food, attentive to my pickiness getting different meats for every dish : my girl friend also got corn tortillas which were nice and hot. The waitress also came back later and offered to refill our salsa and chips. Lovin' it so far
I was here couple month ago and received poor service all around unfortunately. While the salsa was good, the chips were really burned and when I got my food, it was overly cooked. I'm hoping this was a one time issue, but I won't ever know.
We ordered burrito and it was very good. It came with sour cream and small side of chips and salsa. We'll go back again.
Food was aggressively bland. The kids said that the beans tasted weird, and refused to eat them. The frijoles tasted unseasoned and unsalted. If you'd taken a can of supermarket frijoles, unsalted, fat free, and cut them with water I don't know if they'd be this bad. I ate my unexciting shrimp burrito, but later felt queasy. Budget microwave burritos have more flavor. The atmosphere was nice and the people working there are friendly. Also, the chips were good. I hope they can learn to make okay Mexican food and turn it around. I have no idea how it stays in business. It was empty while the very good Thai place right next to it was packed and busy. I regret trying it.
GARBAGE. AVOID! Life long CA native and thats was Hands down worst mexican food I’ve ever had. Taco Bell is better Dirty restaurant Burnt chips and weak salsa Entrees came on burning hot plate filled w dry flavorless and/or oversalted food. It’s as if they pre made the food, plated it, then froze it. The refried beans at the edge of the plate had crusted/crystallized from the flash reheating process. Time to pay? The waitress announces CASH ONLY, even though the door had credit card stickers on it. Should’ve got up and left as soon as the burnt chips arrived at the table.
Great family owned spot. Though hit and miss when open remember no staff just a husband and wife team doing everything. Huge menu - very happy with eating here. Also have alcohol for those who drink
Good food, great service. It’s a nice little restaurant on the coast. I can’t wait to go back.
Worst dining experience ever! Food was reheated in a microwave. May have been leftovers. We were so disgusted we left. The health department will hear from me next.
The food was disgusting, ingredients clearly not fresh.they offered 2 salsa dishes, both some liquid stuff that is mixed with chopped onions, again no flavor, the place needs some clean up and refresh. Service must definitely need some evaluation, when you have to come and go 2 times after you ask for the restroom, for them to tell you you need a key. Good location, have potential if they decide to actually do real Mexican food and clean the place.
