They did an amazing job with my new rescue! She screamed the whole time they trimmed her nails drama or previous trauma, not sure which. They were super gentle with her and they were so nice about it. Can't wait to make this place my regular vet. My girl was very comfortable here.
Our first appointment with this veterinarian hospital was this month. The staff were genuinely friendly. The vet even sat on the floor to talk to one of our dogs. Part of the visit included having our dogs nails clipped. Bambi, our little Chihuahua mix hates getting that done and will cry out the whole time like you're trying to kill her. But this time she only cried out once during the procedure. If you want gentle, loving hands to care for your pets, this is the place for you.
First visited Maricopa Animal Hospital in 2007, in their first, more modest, location on John Wayne Pkwy. The knowledgeable, big-hearted, and caring doctors and staff took great care of our pets for the past 16 years. Dr. Larson was always ready to find a solution to any problem that should arise, so was Dr. Woods, who worked there for a few good years. We really felt that this veterinary office was our "other family doctor" and were very happy for them when their new and modern facility opened!
Start to finish; excellent service and assistant was very informative and Dr. took her time to interact with my puppy and access his needs and any of my questions. Easy check in and fast check out. Reasonable prices. Clean facility and updated lobby.
Dr Larson is so wonderful with my dogs, you can tell she has a real passion for her work. We always have a great experience here.
Have taken all three of my pets here and the only downside for a bit there was the curbside only for appointments due to a flood that they had. The wait was very long up to an hour after checking in, however since the lobby / rooms are now open, service is relatively quick and the front desk staff, techs, and Dr. Larson are awesome!
Everyone is so wonderful here. Dr. Larson takes such good care of my girl as she's going through Valley Fever. All my dogs have been so happy here!
STAY AWAY! I took my dogs here several months ago to get their regular vaccines. As I was about to get into bed, I happened to notice one of them had a strange look on her face. Upon closer inspection, I saw her mouth was swelling. Rushed into Chandler to an animal hospital, all the while my dog’s face and neck were swelling up larger and turning splotchy red. Half a children’s Benadryl on the car ride seemed to eventually make some difference. The diagnoses was a reaction to the one of the vaccines, one of which is given in the mouth. The vet tech at MAH who saw me that day spent most of her time attempting to upswell be, and NO time zero, nada discussing possible reactions to the vaccines and what to do. A warnings list was sent home with me, but no reference was made to it by the vet tech, and it was buried in the materials related to her upselling. The office manager and Dr Larson told me, when I called the next day, they “would have done nothing differently”, while at the same time admitting the vet tech failed to properly warn me about possible drug reactions. This vet caused a very scary ordeal, a $300 vet bill, and hours of sleep on a work day. The lobby is dirty and hold times are often unbearably long. But those issues pale in comparison for the lack of professionalism and basic humane care one expects from a veterinary practice.
No emergency nor overnight. Appointments are typically a week or more away. High prices. Little explanation after pet visit due to too many appts and youre rammed in and out
They took such great care of my dog even tho she’s feisty. Staff and vet were all very friendly. Prices were also affordable.
