Marine Park was a random discovery on my hunt for a beautiful ocean view of the sunset, and it definitely delivered! It isn't a huge park, but there was enough space for everyone there to enjoy. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and my cat liked hanging out on the large rocks by the water. There is sufficient parking for the size of the park and there are also picnic benches and washrooms for public use. Great place to spend some time!
This park is beloved by everyone here. Which is probably why the city cares so much about those who visit. I'm being sarcastic. It closes at 7:00 p.m.. they have Gates so you can't go in after hours. And when the gates are open during summer months they have police patrol at frequently. For those who do not obey the rules. They don't do this for any other Park. 7:00 p.m. closing is lifted during the summertime hours obviously. I posted a couple of pictures it's not really of the park but the view
I stayed in Bellingham for a few months and this was my favorite 'beach'. It's kind of rocky and I was there in winter but the air is refreshing and always a nice view. I enjoyed watching ships, boats and barges slipping along in the distance. My little dog even becomes energized there. It's a city park and is free. Kayaks can be rented there also.
Great spot to sit and watch the sea. Kayak rentals available. groovy graffiti. Bathrooms and picnic tables. Next to the railroad tracks and close to coffee shops.
Marine Park is a beautiful little park in near the Fairhaven section of Bellingham. It has bathrooms, picnic tables, and a grassy area where you can lay a blanket. The beach is rocky and dogs are welcome. Check it out!
Wow. What an amazing place to hang at the bay and picnic. Beach, grass, bathrooms, so low key and peaceful. A group of kayakers gaggle? herd? paddle? was playing bay-sketball. Catch an Amtrak, Greyhound, or Alaska ferry, or pop in to Paws for a Beer with your fuzzy guy or lady.
Great little waterfront park tucked into a more industrial district. The Kayakshare program out of here is a neat idea for boat rentals. Also saw a wedding taking place in this park. I bet the pictures with the Bay and Lummi Island in the background were amazing! Pics are not of the park, but where I was able to kayak to from the park
The location so close to the ferry terminal is phenomenal! The park looked great! A host of Port of Bellingham employees were down there spiffing up the park and it has paid off—thank you for your service!
Not a great beach, very small area with just rocks. Only thing you will see here is segals and crows there little life at this place. It is right next to a train track and noise level is very high due to construction etc. There is a flat grass area with tables and benches along with a public restroom which is semi nice. If you don't mind a slight hike I recommend teddy bear cove it's a much cooler area.
A beautiful, quiet, oceanside park with bathroom facilities, a lovely rocky beach, a gorgeous view of Bellingham Bay and only a five minute stroll from downtown Fairhaven. Kayak rentals with lots of space for family & friends. A great place to unwind and let your "worldly concerns" float away, at least temporarily.
