10/15/22 it was pretty cool. a little disappointed, hoped for more. but, the old stone bridge, big waterfall and creek were beautiful. there's several dirt paths meandering through the park which is covered with the forrest canopy. we got to experience the early autumn colors, just beginning to change theres restrooms and a small play area for kids
Great park for a flat trail along the water, a good steeper trail to views. From the lakeshore trail, A few places along the trail are good spots for small groups to hang out at the water. The main parking lot is small but there is another trailhead parking lot not to far away. Not a park for open fields and frisbee :. There is a new trail being built which looks to be a good challenge. From the main parking lot, it's a reasonable hail for kayak water access, better with 2 people or a set of wheels.
Best place for paddle boarding, swimming and kayaking in Whatcom
Lake whatcom park is one of my favorite places that go for a walk, run or bike. It’s definitely gotten busier but it’s very well maintained. Definitely a great place to go for an easier walk.
Plenty of parking, when we were here the wide path was moderately used. Beautiful water and Mountain View’s and local plants along the wide open trail. In and out trail, turn around if you only have time to do part of the trail! Lots of spots to pull off and have a picnic or a swim! Highly recommend!
Took a winter ride on my eBike and it was very nice. First ride with Bar Mitts -- very toasty on a 39 degree day.
Many trails, multiple playground areas, swing area no lifeguard, trails and connections to Bloedel Park, Scutter Pond and views.
Beautiful trail. Plenty of shade leading up to the lookout of Chanterelle Trail. Not difficult: I would rate it a 4 on a scale of 1-10 10 being as difficult and technical as hiking Baker. 2.4 miles up.
Am exceptional place to hike. Great for adventuring with family and friends. It is very well kept by the park officials. Lots of trails and stunning views.
By far, one of my favorite parks!! Pet friendly and clean water.
