Such a cool place, we are navy but I think this place is amazing. They have so much information here and a gift shop that has tons of stuff to buy. A restaurant that was pretty good we had fish and chips and a Greek salad. Everything was pretty good. Tons of picture explains what stuff is People there to help with questions it is a double floor establishment, but they have an elevator if you don’t want to climb the stairs or if you can climb the stairs. Love all the history here, we didn’t have time to walk the grounds but those looked amazing as well. We will come back and walk the grounds on another day. You must come check this place out and bring the kids.
I go every year for the Marine Corps birthday on Nov. 10th with some of my brothers. It's definitely the best museum I've ever been to. There is plenty of history and things to read about. Tons of real artifacts, and they use real people to model their mannequins. I'm very proud of this museum. A must-see for everyone.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Excellent museum and tavern. The tour guides are wonderful resources and were available to our children to ask questions and give in-depth answers. We went to learn more about WWI and WWII.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a great museum! So much detail. Staff always available to help you and answer questions. The photos do not do it justice. A must go toVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very informative museum with great exhibits. You could spend an hour there briefly understanding the history or you could spend many hours there reading and seeing everything. Some exhibits are more immersive with auditory and visual aids to help you understand the environment or the situation. Highly recommend.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
This is one of the most excellent museums in the country. If you want to learn about Marine Corps history, look no further. Great exhibits. Admission is free. You can also grab something to eat at the Devil Dog Diner and Tun Tavern.Visited onWeekend
Excellent museum, the guides were eager to share their knowledge with those in attendance but weren't pushy about it. The displays are layed out in a nice chronological order of the various time periods that have changed the Marines, however, each area is set off from a main corridor so you can go to a specific era if you want.
Purchased a brick for my Dad and presented the certificate to him several years ago. Dad passed in 2018, and this was the first time we had the opportunity to visit. The entire walk to locate his brick was humbling, like being at the National Cemetary in DC. Beautiful grounds and the museum requires more than one day to visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

One of the best museums I have visited so far, which was a pleasant surprise. The layout makes sense and will take you through the eras the Marine Corps has served our nation. Each exhibit is chock full of valuable information and amazing artifacts. Children will especially love the tanks, planes, helicopters, and other military vehicles they have on display here. There’s even two more sections that will be opening within the next year, so definitely stop by if you’re in the area or enjoy military memorabilia.
