Regretfully, drove to this museum with great reviews but was unable to visit it because a military ID is required not just normal ID. The museum is located at camp Pendleton. You must have military ID or be sponsored by someone on the base in order to visit the museum.Wait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree

This place was awesome! The whole building is packed full of history!

Despite what the website states, you may not visit this museum unless you know an active service member that will sign you in and vouch for your behavior. Members of the public are NOT permitted and denied entry to the base. The following from the website is not correct: "Visiting the Collection The collection is open to the public during the week. When coming aboard Camp Pendleton, please ensure that you have a valid photo ID for every occupant of your vehicle along with current registration and proof of insurance."

Amazing place to learn about the past and present of the military. Very clean and organized. My family loved the visit to this museum. Thanks to those who served

Great exhibit! Incredible collection. And unlike what the other reviewer said, I had no issues at all getting on base to see the museum, and I’m not military or anything. I just told the guards at the gate that I was there to see the museum.
