Very quiet campground. Most campers are in bed by 9 pm and not much activity till around 8 am. Sites are close to each other, and some don't have much grass. It was nice to have full hookups. Conservation officer makes rounds frequently to inforce rules. The race track is close by, which is nice.
I went here for an all you could eat breakfast to support the Historical Society during the Knoxville Nationals. The place is fascinating and worth a visit all by itself. Take a day, take the kids, and get a free history lesson. It's a walk back in time experience. Nearby activities: Visit here during the Knoxville races any weekend during the summer sprint car season. If you camp, the park has great sites with hookups.
Nice quiet campground, showers are really clean, restrooms are clean but hot inside building. Overall enjoyed my stay. Will definitely be back!Service: 4/5
ok i just enjoy this campground. for us its close to grocery stores but yet you have the feelin your out in the country. and no real fly issue there like other places weve camped. nice camp hosts. clean shower/bath house. check out a little piece of historic area to walk around. fishing available on small pond. bring your bikes. its just a great campground.
Beautiful park, lots of room, not packed in and was very quiet when we were there. Showers close by. Loved it and very reasonably priced!Location: 5/5
Super cool little park, there's a historic village, covered bridge, pond, and dope playground it has a gravity swing Location: 5/5
The park is very nice. However the host and spouse are as friendly as a stump. Common curiosity and sense they lack.Service: 3/5
Loved it it was beautiful all my kids were in their RVs in the park. Definitely be back next year for the Pella Tulip Festival.Service: 5/5
This campground is very quiet and relaxing. During sprint car season you can hear the races, very cool!Hotel highlightsGreat value
This is a nice park year round, offering both tent and electric/RV parking, modern restrooms, showers, playgrounds, a fishing pond, a wooded area with a lot of wildlife, basketball court, etc. It also has some neat old buildings like an old schoolhouse. During December, they decorate almost the entire park with Christmas lights and decor, and people drive through while listening to Christmas music on the local radio station. Each area is handled by a local business, who sets up, and maintains their decor and lights. There is no charge, but they do ask for a donation if able. We look forward to seeing it each year, but each year it gets bigger and better. It definitely will get you into the nostalgic Christmas spirit if you need help.
