I really enjoyed this place. All of the food I tried was delicious. The Animal Liberation Fries were delicious and made a great starter. The milkshake was good. I thought it had a bit of an aftertaste, but the person I shared it with had no issues. The quesadillas were phenomenal. The wrap had an excellent texture and flavor. I really loved the atmosphere here, and I enjoyed seeing the collection of books that’s you can apparently borrow. Our server was exceptionally friendly, and the decor of the place gives mutual aid and community solidarity vibes. This is a cool little dive. That is definitely worth a visit.
This place is Great! The food was delicious comforting and so flavorful! We tried the pickles which had great crunch, the chkn parm sandwich right amount of cheese and fresh tasting sauce. I would've toasted the bun so the bread didn't get soft under the sauce but still yummy. Also tried the cheese chop which was fun, loved the pickled peppers on it, spicy. Definitely recommend!
Great service, but sadly food isn’t very good. Ordered the chicken and waffles. Waffles had a weird metallic taste. Chicken was good consistency and flavor, but tasted really awful with waffle. Ordered a breakfast burrito to try and salvage my review, but had NO flavor. Tasted like nothing at all. Best thing on the menu is the hash brown! Normally I finish my food but truly could not stomach it in this instance.
Atmosphere was fun and service was good. The wrap was delicious. The chick’n and waffles was a little dry but still good. We will be backFood: 4/5
I loved this place! I went with my sister for her birthday and we really enjoyed our experience. the food was incredible and the service was great. the vibes here are so good! Vegetarian options: Fully vegan restaurant. Parking: Paid parking on street and lot, free street parking after 8.
I really don’t like to give bad reviews, especially to places that are highly rated, but I feel obligated to be honest. Our experience was pretty bad when it came to our food. We arrived for dinner and were notified they were out of their mozzarella sticks and sausage. It was disappointing as most of the items we wanted to try, would be served without the sausage or the substitute was just more tofu. For appetizers we ordered the fried pickles. These were extremely salty, and over cooked so the pickle themselves were dry and more like chips with way too much batter. It was simply too greasy and salty for us to even finish it. Per the entrees we had the chopped cheese sandwich and the chicken and waffles. The waffle was super dry, and crumbled into pieces whenever you cut it or even pinched it with the fork. It was almost like a large cookie more than waffle. The chicken was also not great, with the seasoning on the protein just not tasting all that great. Some of the spices were too overwhelming and it did not compliment the sweetness of the chicken and waffle plate well at all. The chopped cheese wasn’t too bad, but the filling was mostly lettuce and bread. The protein was good, but it just wasn’t enough of it to make the dish worth it. The portions were also pretty small, so we left feeling pretty hungry and not satisfied. Perhaps this was an off day, after all we were the only people there the entire time we had our meal. Most reviews are good, and their offerings seem good at least on paper, but nothing in our meal was satisfying. There was also nothing distinctive or different about this place, other than the dark ambiance of the restaurant itself. It was average and there wasn’t anything unique about it.
We passed by this place last year when we were traveling and so it's been on the list to try for a while. We finally made it back to SLC and finally got the chance! As others have stated, they were out of a lot of things. My husband and I were both interested in trying "chicken" options of which they were out of. Little bummed but we got a BBQ burger and grilled cheese instead. The food was good, the grilled cheese was so creamy and flavorful. The fries were good, definitely salty if you are into that sort of thing. Online it does state they share the space with a music venue so we went knowing this but weren't quite prepared for the level of noise this would mean. Luckily it only lasted about 15 minutes but it's quite jarring, so if you have noise sensitivities you might want to come prepared or skip this place. Overall it was a cute experience, I'm glad we got to try it but there wasn't anything super special about it. I am glad to see a vegan option but have certainly tried better in the area. Vegetarian options: Vegan options! Parking: Lots of parking near by, some is paid but many spots are also free 2 hour parking.
This is an amazing vegan restaurant. We had their burger and garbage hash. They were really good, we left our plates clean. The star of the meal was the sundaes. The sundaes are Awesome!!! I highly recommend them. Next time I'm in town I'll be back. Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegan.
I'm not sure how I feel about this place. The food was alright. The room was COLD and the music was terrifyingly LOUD. I couldn't hear my wife sitting across from me. The place is rather dirty. I gave it 4 stars because I can see the potential. The music, temperatures and cleanliness can change. I love the idea that they are giving vegans another option.
Fun and cheeky atmosphere in this restaurant. Pairs well with all their Vegan food. Been twice and the chef has come over to serve the food once and comment on a change in order that had to be made - nice to see a personal interest in not just their work, their customers as well! There's also the social justice component that makes the feel that they do care about the community / people. Vegetarian options: Actually VEGAN options!
