The food is great. Nice outdoor dining. Pet friendly. Kid friendly. Great atmosphere to catch up with friends. Sadly the service is below average. Food takes forever to come out and the servers avoid making eye contact with you unless they have food to bring out. Oh and beware because the plates can give you second degree burns with how hot they come from the kitchen. Finally if you are a multi-person party just do yourself a favor and ask for one check instead. They made several mistakes on all of our checks we were a party of 4. I usually don't like to complain about an establishment however we've had problems here so often prior, I think it was well overdue
Nice and relaxed neighborhood spot. Street metered parking or a small lot behind the building is available but the lot fills up quick. Food is above average and service is very friendly. Well worth a visit.Food: 4/5
Enjoyed a lovely brunch for my mom's birthday today. Beautiful service and lovely food, as always, Marmalade Cafe! Thank you for making Mom's day special Food: 5/5
It's all around a good spot for brunch. My family and I enjoyed are selfs. One note the spicy chicken sandwich is basically a Buffalo chicken sandwich not what we where looking for but if you like that then all for youFood: 3/5
Great breakfast and coffee options. The inside is very cute, home like. However, the service was slow on the day we visited. No one was at the front to sit us and after waiting a while we had to walk towards the back to find someone to sit us. The service isn't usually like this at the Calabasas location.Food: 5/5
I really enjoyed my breakfast at Marmalade Cafe! Since covid, they have opened up their dining area into the parking lot under a large tent and equipped with tall, heaters. This is where we ate which was fine, however I definitely plan to go back to check out the inside which looks adorable! I ordered these delicious waffles with fruit, a mimosa, and a latte. Everything was delicious and I left full and happy! My breakfast date got eggs, toast, and a side of potatoes and was very happy with their dish. Staff was nice, food was great, and the prices were decent considering brunch in LA! I'd recommend! Vegetarian options: Large menu, lots of options! Kid-friendliness: As an aunt of 8 at various ages, I would be bale to bring any and all of them to Marmalade Cafe to eat. That said, there isn't toys or anything specifically catered to children but that's fine for a typical breakfast! Parking: There is street parking, side streets etc. We had no trouble, I think we chose to walk a block but there is also valet available Wheelchair accessibility: The outside dining area in particular is on relatively flat ground, no stairs, low tables, and space to move through Dietary restrictions: I don't personally have dietary restrictions but the menu is big and the staff is accommodating. I'm confident most dietary restrictions can be met
I love coming here, food here is amazing, great waiters, always happy I only have one problem, they are expensive! Great for special occasion. If you like crab, you will love their crab tacos best I ever had, they give you three of them very generous on the crab itself, super worth the $20; this will be the only thing I order when I come, it's so good & great for the price!
I have only had breakfast and brunch here, but at all times I enjoyed it. Weekend brunch can be very busy so you want to get there early. They have a nice large covered patio, and a cute indoor area too! If you're able to get breakfast on weekdays, it is never too crowded and is very relaxing. I love the smoked salmon scramble and the pancakes!!! Parking: They have a view parking spots in their lot but you will most likely meter park or in the neighborhood behind it.
We called in an hour before and they still had open reservations on weekdays. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the salmon. The tiramisu was also wonderful; I highly recommend both. The staff was very thoughtful and made sure we had a table not too noisy and respected some allergies. The only complaint I have is the kids menu, especially the burger which had only a sad patty between two buns. Parking: Enough parking spaces in the back and I'm sure you can find more on the streets
Ok when you walk in through the back and walk up to the front the back smells like sewage and bathroom and cleaner mixed together. The restaurant was empty. As far as the meatloaf, turkey meatloaf is descent nut way too heavy on the stomach. Green beans had flavor and the mash was nothing special. I mean it's a descent place but that odor was a turn off.
