Visited 7/11/23. The theater needs updating. I only went because they have free movies & the times slot is the earliest. The theater seats needs to be shampooed or refabric. The carpets needs to be changed or shampoo. It's been the same decor for over 20 years.
Marquee is absolutely amazing. Staff members are always friendly, the tickets are cheap, the theater is always clean, and they have Coke products instead of Pepsi. So you can get your favorites like Root Beer, Diet Coke, Sprite, and more! I always have an amazing experience at marquee, it's how theater's used to be.
My wife and I discovered this place is more like a haunted house that shows movies. It's a bit run down with mannequins and other eclectic decorations around the lobby. Down the long creepy hallway was theater 6 - we are the only ones there and first impression: there's no good seats. I usually park in a seat towards the center of the screen - well that doesnt exist here, but for 6 bucks a ticket maybe I can't complain too much. Chairs covered in trash bags made the place a lot more welcoming, and after seeing the rest of the seats with the lights on, I wish I brought my own. We look up and notice a nice touch to the ambiance - a gaping hole in the ceiling with wires hanging out. Ok I've seen worse... so let's ignore it and focus on the movie. It's showtime and the screen goes completely blank and no sound from the speakers either. All thats left is the eerie noise from the ventilation and random thuds and clangs. Three minutes of this and I was both really creeped out and frustrated, and honestly wanted a refund and to just leave. My wife calmed me down and we ended up staying to see the movie after the manager said they fixed it. Gotta say the place was a lot better with the lights turned off even with the creepy noises we heard throughout the movie. In conclusion I would have rather watched that movie at home. The staff was very friendly and helpful tho so I will give them 4 stars for service, and don't be surprised if you see a ghost or something.
My favorite theater! It has a nostalgic feel to it, meaning it could probably use a bit of a facelift. That sort of describes some of us these days... Anyway, I only ever take my girls here to see movies. Most times we have the whole place to ourselves. Sometimes there's another family or two, but it is never crowded. Tuesdays are the best days to go, but I'm not sure I want everyone to know my favorite air-conditioned, cheap summer activity.
I loved that it's not super crowded and I could bring my baby! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The theater is old and dated, but it was fine, and there were no concerns. Many stalls were broken in the bathroom, so that was a bummer.
The best theater around very original and classic. People go to these new theaters for food drinking and so on. Can’t go wrong with a classic movie theater. For those who don’t know marquee cinemas are the first theaters with cloth seats and have 14 marquee cinemas in 8 states.
The filthiest mens restroom I have ever seen in any business establishment in my 63 years of life. The handicapped toilet had days old dried pee on it- it was yellow not white. There was a pool of smelly fluid all along the back of the stalls. It was just plain not caring enough to clean it. My heart breaks for any handicapped man in a wheel chair who has to use that stall. The people at the counter are really nice. So I dont know why this is so bad. I saw Oppenheimer there and liked the experience but the stalls in the mens room and the smell was unbelievably bad.
I love Marquee as they're cheaper than the other theaters if you don't mind an older theater that could use some attention and updates but overall I'll keep going since it's clean enough and the audio / video works great. Nothing fancy but it works.
this place was nastyyy. the ticket might be cheap but the place was so filthy. the chairs had so many stains on them. and when i left there was a cockroach on the window. the staff were lowkey scary but wtv i guess. when you go to the bathroom it's pretty dirty and when you wash your hands there's no paper towels in the bathroom you have to go outside where they have paper towels on a holder. the popcorn was very salty and kinda stale. id rather pay a little more money to go to a nicer theater. sorry.
Just left. Saw Super Mario Brothers. The theater is OLD and dirty. The one we were in had all the seats stained. The ladies room was old and not clean looking. Hand dryers were inoperable. Popcorn was ok Will pay higher price next time to go to a nice theater.
