Nice resort with plenty to do and a Great kids pool. Activity schedule is robust and diverse! Beach access is great and amenities both on the beach and property are of good quality. Rooms are very well decorated and have everything you need. Staff is attentive and friendly. Fitness center if pretty good. A number of pools on the property and located in a nice area of the island where everything is 15-20 minutes at most from the resort. My greatest qualm was food quality in the property. There was a sole restaurant that had a standard poolside menu but no healthy or more high quality foods for meals aside from pool snacks and lunch items.
Fantastic stay at the barony. Didn't love the layout of the hotel kids pool is separate from almost everything else....but that really didn't even matter for us. The food at the pool bar was quick and fantastic. The rooms were comforting, kid-friendly, and clean. Not much else I could ask for here. Very nice job, Barony. Thank you for a lovely vacation!
The resort, and Villa itself was beautiful. The Villa is stocked with everything to enjoy your stay. The beds were a bit firm but not terrible. However, my experience was not one that was desirable. In fact, I experienced horrible service from the front desk manager. He was very abrasive and not welcoming. Upon checking in, I quickly realized that my room type was incorrect and rather than the manager trying to assist with a room change or offer an upgrade, he was rude and unhelpful. I honestly feel as though, my family and I weren't welcomed at the resort. The front desk manager, and staff at the entire resort wasn't pleasant or friendly. My family and I felt as though we were discriminated against and will unfortunately, never return to this resort. I will also share this experience with my social media following of over 600K. I am disappointed in this resort as this was our first time visiting. This is unacceptable and Marriott Vacation Club needs to do better especially for families of color who chooses to travel to their resorts.
Very close to the beach. Has multiple pools. But the pool water quality was very bad and salty. I didn't see anyone checking the water or maintaining its quality. This resort has many activities throughout the day but not really for adults. Parking was easy and spacious. The only reason i give 4 stars for the service was because we tried to check in little early but we had to wait very long. It was actually little upsetting how they said they would call us when the room was ready and we waited two hours, when we got back to the front desk to see if the room wasn't ready it was actually ready..
Barony is well maintained. If there are any concerns, a call to the front desk will have the issue resolved quickly. The property is ocean side with walk on access to miles of gorgeous beach. Pools are heated. Hot tubs are surrounded by flowering shrubs and palms. The bar & grill is back open serving quenching refreshments and delicious food. No money needed - charged to your unit. Entire resort is cashless. All incidentals charged to your unit. Rooms: Rooms are generous size with a master bedroom, a bedroom with 2 queen beds, a living room, dining area, 2 full bathrooms, a fully functional kitchen, and a utility room with washer and dryer. Rooms are light and airy with seaside decor. Safety: It is a gated vacation resort. You need a pass to enter the property and must register upon arrival. Walkability: There are beautiful paths laid out throughout the property with access to the beach for miles of walking that is restricted to residents and vacationers.
Love this place. The most adult fun too. They had several activities during the day for adults, I.e., trivia contests and the prizes were adult beverages! Best fun was the “pup crawl” on Halloween. They set up stations throughout the resort with different adult punches and wine. We also loved the star gazing with Bill, the sky guy. He brought 2 powerful telescopes and we spent hours learning about and viewing the night sky.
We stayed from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3. Can't say enough positives about the Marriott Barony Beach! Awesome staff all around. My daughter loved the kids activities. The food on site at "All Y'alls" by the beach front pool was good. Rooms: The villa was very clean and well maintained but the shower took a bit to get warm and the sink taps took too long to get even lukewarm. Quite minor in an otherwise very nice villa!
Outstanding resort! Favourite place on the island. All Ya’lls bar has good but pricey food and drinks, but staff is top notch and super friendly. Shout out to Emily for her hustle and being so kind!
We have usually stayed at Marriott Grande Ocean but this year were at Barony. The rooms were fabulous; both master and guest rooms were amazing-Roomy and beautifully remodeled. Our garden villa deck overlooked the smaller pool which was quiet and always had chairs available. We took advantage of bike rentals, rode and walked on the beach everyday. It is a great location with lots of restaurants and shopping just minutes away. Staff all friendly and accommodating. Perfect vacation we will stay here rather than Grande Ocean in the future. I’m always amazed at people who complained and wrote bad reviews. Also next door to the Westin which had nice Oceanside restaurant.
Great pools the pools are beyond great they even had a nice themed Party. Both salt water and chlorine pools. And access to Westin directly beside it. Beach's is great. Staff is great went for owner meeting and they were the best of any resort.
