Easy loop from McClintock Trail to Enchanted Mesa Trail. Took us 40 yrs and 70 yrs one hour to complete. The wildflowers were beautiful in early June.Recommended activitiesHikingParking spacePlenty of parkingParking optionsFree parking lot
Beautiful trail & good for gravel & mountain biking. Really good trail for a ride & hike
Great trail to catch some great foothills views without a strenuous workout. Was able to park across the street and didn't have to pay for parking, but be careful with this. Someone blocked me in my parking spot and had to squeeze out by a power pole.
Beautiful area, though really crowded with bike traffic... Which is fine if you are a biker, but not so cool as a pedestrian. We were dodging bikes almost constantly on the narrower trails near the head. Fire damage is growing back so that's super cool to see. Loads of beautiful, fragrant flowers in the early summer. Nice diverse trail with minimal slopes and relatively easy to traverse. Cows abound which contribute to a manure smell and patches of cow-pies on the trail in spots. Fees: No fees for parking or use. Restrooms: Porta potties at parking lot.
If you're looking for a nice hike near Boulder, check out Marshall Mesa trailhead. It's a great place to enjoy the fresh air and the stunning views of the flat irons and the foothills. You can choose from different trails depending on your skill level and how much time you have. It's a popular spot, so get there early to find parking and avoid the crowds.
Beautiful, peaceful, reenergizing. I have not done the full trail loop but there are cool hills and big rocks that bikers have gone through. Dogs can be off the leash if they're responsive and there is a cool cattle area at the base of the valley. The wild flowers are vibrant and friendly. It is wonderful to stop for the sight or a picnic or to enjoy the flatirons and hike. Highly recommended trailhead.
An easy winter hike with amazing views! The loop is easily accesible from the parking lot with mountains in the backdrop!
A great trail for an easy hike or families. Beautiful views of the flat irons. The start of the trail is walking or biking so there is a lot of sharing the trail but then it separates. This space has limited trees, so in the sun it can get very hot with little relief.
Marshall mesa is a good park, close to Boulder. The trails aren't super technical or anything, but still good & fun. No prob on a hardtail mountain bike. Could do the rocky sections on a CX or gravel bike too. No E bikes.
One of my favorite Boulder trails. Excellent any time of the day but the evenings are particularly beautiful with the sunsets. Great place to go mountain-biking as well, nothing too difficult and a lot of fun
