Good selection, helpful staff, clean building. They also have cool programs for all ages summer reading, yearly challenge, story times, teen activities, etc . I love libraries and I'm so grateful that our community is lucky enough to have Marshall.
Marshall Public Library is Modern, is huge. They offer tons of children's books and activities. I personally am love the collection of Mother Earth News Magazines they have. All the way back from the 70's. But the art, design, and offerings can't be beat. The librarians are also helpful and kind, restrooms are clean and wheelchair accessible including an elevator.
My friends and I have a lot of fun dancing and drinking to the music.
I've lived in the area for almost a year and finally got a library card! The staff was very friendly and happy to help! The library is clean and very easy to navigate:
Clean, amazing area for kids, decent to good public computers, Air conditioning amazing. In December they’re mostly closed.
Got kicked off the public computers and out of the library due to my age. All I needed to do was print a resumé for a job application. I've printed multiple important documents at this library in the past and had absolutely no problems before, now all the sudden it's a problem and I get told to leave?? I hope the manager realizes that not everyone has their own printer at home and restricting the ability to print important documents to those 18 and over is discriminatory. Like I said before, not everyone can afford a printer, let alone a computer. I probably just lost a job opportunity because of this.
People forget how much libraries offer. Great place to read and learn obviously. I always find books to buy from Friends of the Marshall Public Library. One of my favorite books was there for $1.00 - Two Old Women.
Nice library, with a decent inventory. They haven’t been doing many programs this summer which is disappointing, but they do have their summer reading program and trading cards kids and earn. Sad their board games aren’t out. The portneuf library closes early so it’s nice this one stays open later.
The librarian refused to issue us a library card. Her reasoning was that they were closing in 20 minutes and needed to do their closing procedure. No one mentioned to us when we walked in that they were closing early or we would have gotten our card when we first walked in. We asked another librarian upstairs how to get cards and she told us what we needed but did not mentioned of the 3 hour closing early and that we needed to do it soon. Our kids had picked out books and were very disappointed that they couldn't check them out. I'm very disappointed that these women decided not to their job tonight. Very bad customer service!
I didn't realize how good a public library this was until I moved away. It has a huge collection of fiction and nonfiction, I don't think I ever looked for a book and didn't find it. Well worth visiting.
