A beautiful eco mosque with a lovely community. I went here with my children for juma prayers on two Fridays. Nice clean space, a great reminder on both occasions and a really welcoming community! Would recommend to/for anyone
The most amazing experience with muslim community. Loved speaking, interacting and acquiring knowledge of the religion. Very kind gentle people. The mosque was beautiful, the food is great. A very humbling experience overall
This mosque of worship is very classy and I was fascinated by the design inside. As I stepped in, I was greeted by one of the key holders of the mosque who was very genuine and welcomed me with open arms. I have been to many mosques but this one stood out because of their classy design and cozy warm feel of welcome and respect. I originally stopped by to listen to a few lectures on life that was being given by one of the best Muslim scholars in MN but I ended up staying longer for a community dinner. This mosque has been around for a while but doesn’t get much attention or credit as it’s hidden in the depths of North Minneapolis. Another thing I loved is that everyone in there that I have met were very diverse from black, white, Asian, African, middle eastern, etc. it’s a mosque for everyone. Thank you guys for having me and I am sure I will stop by again.
All praise and thanks belongs to God because everytime I go to masjid An-Nur I feel like I get a message for my benefit.
Went here for a political planning meeting. Staff in the office were quite helpful in directing me, meeting space was ample and well cared for. It's obvious as someone who does not worship here that this is a space maintained with love, care, and a priority on community connections.
Nice place to do salat
This Masjid always brings me peace of mind and soul. I miss being there for classes, seminars, and especially Jummah. A very diverse population and a place that helps the community at large!
I prayed 2014 Ramadan Taraweeh and Tahajuud here. What a great experience it was for me, my sister and friends. Well organized, clean, welcoming, open to everyone. I thought if our Prophet Salallahu Aleyhi Wasalaam was alive today, he would very happy with this Masjid. Keeping it simple, keeping it all encompassing and doing great things for the Ummah and portraying a better picture of Islam and Muslims. Maasha-Allah. May Allah Subhanna Wa Taala bless all those who are in charge of this Madjid. Ameen.
I was at An Nur for their annual Summer gathering. A variety of halal "soul" food and fixings. Lamb, beef, mac & cheese, etc., etc. I better mention the Southern style fried fish, just more than enough for everybody. The "fellowshipping" and old stories were inspiring. I could go on forever
I like Masjid An-nur. Very classy and well set up. there Wudu stations and the Musallah is very spacious. Every year they have this big block party hosted by Muslims with free food, clothing, health services and music and fun games and stuff for kids. every Friday the have Jumah and $7 meals after.
