North Shore Taekwondo is an amazing place to train and practice the wonderful art of Taekwondo. I thoroughly enjoy the encouraging, motivating, and fun atmosphere there. The instructors are fantastic, being super professional, helpful, and understanding. I look forward to my classes each week and can only say that they have helped me to develop & challenge myself in a positive way, both physically & mentally. Thank you NS Taekwondo!!
North Shore Taekwondo has really helped me grow. Since I started classes, I have grown more confident in everything I do. I’ve seen many students come to classes and learn to be more respectful, more intentioned, and have more self control. This school really helps people develop, not just their Taekwondo skills, but also develops their personalities to be great people, not just students.
This is an ideal place to develop strength and flexibility through exercises, harden yourself mentally through martial arts philosophies, and learn techniques for self-defence through drills and patterns. All the masters are very supportive, encouraging, and help students learn at their own pace. There is also a strong sense of community here. After a long hiatus from martial arts, my transition into taekwondo has felt a lot smoother thanks to all the masters.
My son has been a student at North Shore Taekwando since 2018! We are so impressed with the Dojo, masters, & staff that have been here throughout the years. I’m amazed at how fast and professional they pivoted over the pandemic to provide for the members in a safe and creative way. The clean and friendly atmosphere is very welcoming. We have seen an amazing transformation in our child’s confidence, perseverance and determination. Highly recommend this program. Our child is now a black strip belt as of this week. We are super proud. Thank you North Shore Taekwando and Master Tony Kook.
North shore Taekwondo has given me lord of avenues to direct my focus, not only as a student but also as a leader and Instructor. I love the Taekwondo community and the encouraging, empowering atmosphere of the dojang. All the Masters and Instructors are all very awesome, no matter what question about Taekwondo you may have they can answer it.
The team is fantastic! Our son has been going for the past couple of years and has loved it. The coaches are kind and so good with the kids. It’s been such a positive experience - I highly recommend North Shore Taekwondo!!
My kids were enrolled in the young tigers program when a Father’s Day special came up, and with the encouragement of the instructors I joined at 48 years old. I was suffering from chronic back pain, my mental and physical health were not great. By the end of the first class I was hooked, after two weeks my back pain was gone. Over the next six months I dropped a good 20 pounds and started feeling like a younger version of myself. Now 53 years old and a First Dan Black Belt, one of my proudest achievements, I feel resilient to mental stress and physically strong. I work each class to improve each movement of a pattern or strike, I love the tradition of martial arts. Master Tony Kook’s team of amazing instructors make it easy for anyone at any age or condition to join the program and strive for personal greatness whatever that is. Taekwondo changed my life, and if like me you’re looking for a way to improve your fitness don’t wait, just one class could change your life too. Thank you to everyone at North Shore Taekwondo for your support and encouragement.
Master Tony Kook’s North Shore Taekwondo has programs for every kind of student. With their variety of programs and welcoming staff any student no matter age or skill can succeed . Personally the leadership program has given me new found confidence and skills I can use in and outside of the dojang. I cannot recommend more joining this amazing taekwondo family!
It's a great program they have here. All the instructors are so great, with awesome attitudes. My daughter loves the classes and has gained so much more confidence inside and outside of Tae Kwon Do. Super happy with the results so far.
My kids had their black belts the 1st Dan in Korea, and have been training with North ShoreTaekwondo since 2020. My first one had her 2nd Dan and my youngest will take her 2 Dan test in December this year. They are very satisfied with their training for the last 2 years and happy with their experiences. Highly recommended!
