We are a group of artists from Humboldt and Mendocino counties with a gallery in Garberville, California.
Mateel Art Gallery is a cooperative of artists living in southern Humboldt and northern Mendicino, and area of dramatic and compelling beauty. We are artists of all media: painting, photography, potter, jewelry, and creations in metal, wood, leather and fiber.
Although we create art in many diverse styles, we have these common goals: to encourage the production, display, and marketing of local art in all media; to support education, encouragement, and opportunity for all artists, in order to enrich the cultural life of our community.
