Mayfair Park is a small park with athletic fields, a basketball court, and a great playground and water spray feature. The playground is located near the southwest corner of the park and features two large structures, a set of swings, and a water spray feature. The larger play structure is accessible via a ramp and sprawls out with a variety of slides and climbing elements. The smaller structure seems designed for younger children and yet is also quite large. The water spray feature seems like an upgraded 'four sprayer' - there indeed four sprayer arranged in a circle but the surface is soft rubber and there is a 'halo sprayer' as well. An exceptional fact about this playground is that it was installed in 2007 ! and yet the equipment and general feel is quite modern. The non-play amenities and setting are both first class. The play area is soft rubber and there are benches and picnic tables within the play area with a nearby fieldhouse providing access to bathrooms when open. The site gets decent shade from the tall, mature trees and the play area is fenced from the street although not fully enclosed. This is a first rate playground; highly recommend.
It was nice and peaceful. My 3rd old had a blast and the greenhouse was open so we were able to have restroom access. Which is always nice when you have toddlers.
Water include is open, it goes on and off at regular intervals. Water sweethearts ages 1 to 14 years of age with a couple of more seasoned benefactors dunking their heads in on a 95 degree day while we were there on a Sunday at 4pm. Jungle gym is in fact shut, it was in a now way swarmed. Various gatherings were dispersed all through the recreation center. It felt entirely agreeable and inviting.
Good quiet park. I've been coming here for over 20yrs. Playground, water sprinklers, baseball field, Fieldhouse and basketball court. Everything you could ask for in a park.
Water feature is open, it goes on and off every few minutes. Water lovers ages 1 to 14 years old with a few older patrons dipping their heads in on a 95 degree day while we were there on a Sunday at 4pm. Playground is technically closed, it was in a now way crowded. Different groups were scattered throughout the park. It felt very comfortable and welcoming.
Lovely neighborhood setting on a quiet street. Fun sprinklers on an auto cycle of 15 min on 15 min off. Lots of running space. Some trees that older kids 9 years & up like to climb. Playground equipment for the toddler crowd and for bigger kids. Basketball court and baseball field. One drawback is that the use of the fieldhouse/bathroom is spotty at times.
I grew up just a block away from Mayfair. Spent my after school, weekends, and summer here creating memories that I will always cherish for life with all the neighborhood kids. Very Safe and quite place to enjoy with your family. Kind of like a hidden jewel in a small neighborhood.
This park is small, but clean and well-kept. I often walk down here and there's usually people on the playground or playing basketball. Wholesome neighborhood park!
Well managed local CPD park. The field house programs are generally well run, and the second floor gym/stage can be rented for events. The landscaping is well maintained by CPD and local civic organizations. The neighborhood keeps watch on the activities in the park both day and night, so nothing inappropriate is tolerated and safety for the children is a priority.
Very nice park.
