A stunning piece of urbsn quiet and greenery in the Uptown neighborhood. I discovered this place on the way to a birthday party for the son of two friends of mine, and although it was overcast back then, no such issues affected the photos I took on July 9th a few years later. Just a nice place to hang out on a quiet, secluded stretch of Sunnyside Avenue.
the uptown farmers market is located here now, get your tamales, no matter how many haters you have they won't stand a chance in the face of a good tamale, honestly it's best to let go and forget them for the better
Best place in uptown for taking a break. Park-like atmosphere, relatively quiet, benches, no vehicles, and excellent farmers market on Wednesdays.
On Thursdays from 230 to 7 is a farmers market. My favorites are the tamale stand and the cheese stand. They're plenty of the new age items for the hip vegan and soyboy.
Awsome little spot to walk. In the summertime there is a farmer's market here. Very nice!
Great time at farmers market in Wed -- lots to see and do -- cold beer, good music and dog friendly Playground: Playground nearby on Magnoli a within a block Restrooms: No. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly !!!
It's nice to walk along this pedestrian street. Quiet and cool. There is a little free library near Malden. Playground: No playground, this is a pedestrian street Restrooms: No restrooms, this is a pedestrian street Dog-friendliness: Yes to dogs on all streets of Chicago! Picnic area: No picnic area, it's a pedestrian street, but there are benches
Crazy that there aren't more spots like this across Chicago. Small, but awesome area to walk/shop/conversate without loud/polluting vehicles driving by.
great idea! pedestrian friendly streets like this should be replicated around the city
Right next to our son's apartment makes for a nice walking area.
