I was absolutely amazed by the team that operated on me and provided post care. Truly some amazing people working at this hospital. They made not only me but my family feel cared about and kept us reassured. They went above and beyond and I have never felt so cared for by medical professionals.
Not impressed. I was disappointed in the care at ER. The doctor was arrogant and dismissive of the concerns I had. Nurses were young college age nice but not attentive. Will not be back there again. They don’t do X rays at the ER? That’s a first… and I’m an employee for Mayo. Will never go to the La Crosse location again,
Called to ask why I have to pay 100% when I have Medicaid. They advised I have an HMO they don't accept, but wouldn't tell me which HMOs they do accept. She advised to look on their website for a list of accepted HMOs. This list either does not exist or is impossible to find. So, I had to make an uneducated guess that will drastically effect my life and finances because Mayo support employees can't be bothered to actually help people. Lastly, sending messages to patients but not allowing them to reply is infuriating.
After my hospital stay I only have great things to say- especially the staff on Floor 9! The staff makes you feel like an important person in their care and not just a number. A special shout out to my nursing staff Kenzie, Hannah, Shelly, & Jake. Also would not be recovering at home without the care and knowledge of my doctors- Dr. Larsen, Dr. Hussain, Dr. Jenad, and Dr. Deetz. Thank you!!!!!
I'm totally disgusted with this company. They are well known but fail to provide professional service and overcharge in every way possible. If they know they did something wrong or incorrect, they'll be playing victim when we are supposed to trust them in taking care of us. Just what we need, another way to have less faith in humanity when it's places like this that are supposed to take care of you. Not to be another number to give them undeserved profits.
I am extremely dissapointed in the fact that did Not listen to my concerns, completely ignored my medical issues and wrote word for word what a doctor completely ignorant about self admitted they lack knowledge wrote, minimized & disreguarded symptoms , then if that wasn't bad enough. They subjested leaving the implant that caused the cancer in & putting a new one in the place where the cancer was positively diagnosed... its like saying since the cancer has is slowly killing you & making you miserablly sick, lets give it a push & let it kill you! Never again will i even attempt to go to Any mayo clinic again! Being polite doesn't make up for wasting 3 wks of my life & trying to kill me faster!!!! Being polite does not excuse or make up for ignoring what i say, blindly filling out questions without asking me the answers, and not making your own diagnosis woth your own tests & offering to badicly kill me quicker! If i wanted to die, i wouldn't be trying to get help... 100% disappointing waste of 3 wks of my life i will never get back!
Couldn't have nicer, more helpful staff anywhere. Everyone from the security guards to the receptionists to the phlebotomists, to the doctors were extremely helpful and kind. Dr. Jennifer MacElroy obgyn is wonderful. She is knowledgeable, experienced, has a sense of humor, allows patients a certain amount of autonomy and discretion, listens well, advocates for her patients, knows and can cite the latest research off the cuff. I was very nervous changing obgyns after a move as I had built a lot of trust with my previous obgyn, and I am so relieved I found Dr. MacElroy. The only downside is that Mayo seems to have some steep billing practices. So only recommended if you have good insurance.
excellent atention! but it's so hard to apply for financial aid! I did it on many occasions, I think they should be realistic with patients who do not have social security that this financial aid is only for people who have social security, not for immigrants! because this application will not be carried out if you do not have your permanent residence! No to discrimination!!!
I CANNOT express enough how appreciative I am for Mayo. I was so nervous switching over from Gundersen but it was the best dang decision I ever made. My care team listens to me and gets it done so I'm not stuck in a rut getting sicker & sicker
Always had pleasant and professional experiences here as a patient. Friendly staff at the front desk to help get you where you need to go. You will be asked if you’ve had covid exposure and asked to wear a mask upon arrival which they will provide you. Plenty of parking.
