DO NOT ATTEND READ BEFORE CONSIDERING ENROLLING Edit: after threatening to sue them they became much more cooperative and I now have my transcripts. Th rest of the review stays. It absolutely should not have come to this to get a simple piece of paper. I started attending in 2009. Unfortunately my son died and the grief was too much to bare. So I stopped going. Not before spending thousands of dollars in courses though. I have been attempting to get my transcripts so I can prove I took the classes and they will not release them. And are of NO help at all. This parchment site they mention is a joke and also of no help. When I contacted them via their website I was clear on what I wanted. My transcript’s. Next thing I know I an being called 3 times a day. Not a single call was for assistance with my transcripts. Every call was them trying to get me to enroll with them. Why would I re enroll to a school that refuses to give me transcripts for classes I already paid for. My student loans are paid off. I held up my end. A little research that I should have done years ago before attending. This school isn’t accredited. There is at least one lawsuit out there to prove that. Which is probably why they can’t give me my transcript’s because. I wasted thousands on this “school” Don’t do it. There are better options.
I'm probably the anomaly here... but I actually have no regrets going to McCann. In fact, it was one of the best choices I have ever made. I was in the massage therapy diploma program which sadly isn't offered anymore. It was $15K. The recruiter made it clear that the credits were non-transferable except ONLY to delta education schools basically other McCann's. It was even in writing. I feel bad for people who felt tricked. It's important to know what you're committing to when signing any contract. I felt McCann was very transparent; this was not like going to a community college. It was a 9 month program to meet the requirements necessary to qualify for the licensing exam. It wasn't a guarantee for licensing OR employment. That was going to be entirely up to me. I was able to get a 5K grant and a 10K student loan through their loan officer. I had great teachers and passed my exam with flying colors, launching my career as an LMT in 2013. My education paid for itself in the first year, and I was able to pay off my student loan in two, saving me 8 years' worth of interest. It has been such a rewarding career, and I couldn't have done it without my training at McCann. It's been almost ten years since I graduated, so I'm not sure what it's like now... but to anyone thinking about enrolling... make sure you fully understand the contracts, ask questions, and don't sign anything until you do. This school is not for everyone, especially if you have aspirations of going to university.
BE WARNED!! Despite what they tell you, they are not regionally accredited, therefore your credits will not transfer anywhere. My 3.87 GPA means nothing. I cannot continue my education without starting from scratch, and I cannot get a job in the field I studied for because they are NOT accredited. I urge anyone who has wasted their time here to apply for student loan forgiveness for their federal loans. McCann is listed by the federal government as a school that has defrauded students.
This school does not even deserve a 1 star. DO NOT ATTEND! GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY FOR A CERTIFICATE. THIS SCHOOL WILL MAKE YOU TAKE STUDENT LOANS THAT ADD UP TO $40,000 WHEN YOU CAN PAY A COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A CERTIFICATE FOR THE SAME JOB AND SAME PAY.
I am a graduate from 2012. And let me tell you it was the best experience ever! The instructors and faculty team always cared about you and your current situation in life! Their goal is/was always to see all the students including myself be successful! The career service department set me up with amazing career right after I graduated.. They way I see it... What better way to invest in yourself and future career! They are flexible and they are always willing to work with you depending on your current life situation! It’s college it isn’t high school.. College life you must be determine! This school was awesome with me and to know when I went to Strayer University some of my credits transfer! Better then none right!!! Awesome school!!! I would recommended anyone to McCann for sure!!
Completely changed my life the amount of help and time and faith they put in me will forever be appreciated. Super informative teachers. The best teachers and environment any student of any age could ask for. Wish more schools were like McCann
I had some ups and downs but over all it is very very good school. I am in the Clinical Medical Assistant Program and my medical instructors are absolutely great! They have the experience and are very flexible. They go out of their way to help you here at the Pottsville Campus. I started in April 2016 and just a few months down the road they asked me to be a work-study student so I am getting paid to help out in Career Services. I really needed a job and they looked at my dedication and realized I was a good fit for the job. I am about to graduate next month in May. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it was an amazing journey. I met some wonderful faculty and students. I am grateful for this opportunity.
