McClendon Mortuary and Cremation Service

Only 1 star was given for this review as I could not give a negative star rating. I work for a physician's office. We received a call from Jason McClendon needing a death certificate signed. Our physician was out of the office this particular day. Jason McClendon is the most obnoxious, unprofessional, and rude individual I have ever spoken with, especially from a mortuary. It was explained to him our physician was out of the office, but that we would attempt to contact him to get this death certificate signed. Jason McClendon then proceeded to demand that we would not "attempt" to contact the doctor, but that it would be done. He demanded that this was to be done immediately. He continue with his rant that the family was suffering and it was our fault. He continued on to say that we "were to GET IT DONE" and that we were going to do this and get it done today. I am fully compassionate with the family's need to have this death certificate signed and the urgency with which it is needed. A simple, "Can you please contact your physician so this can be completed today" would have been sufficient in getting this document signed. Jason MClendon should not be working with the public or be in contact with a grieving family if this bullying is what he considers to be a professional way to conduct business.

Very professional and considerate. Wonderful presentation. Jason and McClendon Mortuary was able to balance the needs of my entire family and produce a beautiful home going celebration. They explained the process thoroughly and provided a beautiful visitation. JOB WELL DONE!!! I would recommend their services to anyone and as need arises, will use them again.

The professionalism, attention to detail and overall support provided by McClendon Mortuary was EXCEPTIONAL!!! From the very beginning they established such a professional yet personal rapport that provided my family with the peace of mind, heart and spirit we truly needed during our time of reflection and bereavement. Our loved one looked amazing and the service from beginning to end was more than we could have anticipated. Simply Outstanding!!!

Our experience at McClendon Mortuary in our time of need was Outstanding. The staff was very professional and sincere. From beginning to end I felt that my desires for the services were respected. The services were beautiful all the way through. I don't believe that any other mortuary service could have dona a better job at any price. I truly appreciate this family and their business. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars this business deserves a 7 star rating. I highly recommend McClendon Mortuary to all in need.

My experience with this Funeral Home was when a family member passed away earlier this year and I attended their funeral. The level of professionalism was not there the care and responsibilities of a funeral home they failed at. In my experience funeral homes are suppose to make sure your loved ones home going smooth and rememberable but they did not do this they did not take care of my loved one in a manner that he should have been taken care of. Things that were requested of them was not done to my loves one satisfaction I feel as though that they failed at there job.

McClendon Mortuary and Cremation Service gave me and my mother excellent service. Mr. McClendon and his son where professional and went out of their way in every step of my fathers funeral. My father a Veteran passed away of a heart attack. Mr. McCledon handled everything from picking up my fathers body from the hospital, too helping us pick the funeral package. They have packages to suit every financial situation. Mr. McCledon got on the phone the same day and called VA and arranged his burial site service. We had no minster at his service and he had a minster come in and say some words. His body was presented beautifully and the floral arrangements and music was excellent. The decor of his establishment was elegant, clean and quiet. His son came by with some paperwork and spoke to my mother. The whole staff was kind, efficient and courteous. Mr. Mccledon went above and beyond the service they gave my family during this time of loss. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

From start to finish, our relationship with the McClendon family was above and beyond our expectations. It was apparent from day one that we were working with a blessed family and they were going to be a blessing to us. They worked with us in preparing and completing a home-going service for our loved one with compassion and professional expertise. While we were dealing with the emotions of losing a family member, the McClendons made our journey as painless as possible. There was no detail left to chance. Mr. McClendon went over the process step by step. We understood our options for selecting a service that would be not only dignified but comforting. Their goal was to make sure that they met and exceeded our expectations before, during and after the funeral. The McClendon Mortuary and Cremation facility is beautiful. And the McClendon family stands highly recommended by our family. Thanks so much.

The McClendon “family” are just that...family. The services rendered to my family in our time of bereavement were impeccable! During the time of grieving, we’re not always aware of the little things people or companies try to do for us. With McClendon Funeral Service, they not only remembered the smallest details, they orchestrated them with compassionate care, as though it were their own dearly departed. The entire staff were professional yet direct. Compassionate yet exacting of what our package entailed no confusion. Leaving our family only to say goodbye in peace without worry or concern about the necessary process of sending a love one Home. Kudos to David McClendon for his staffs training and professionalism, as well as a special thank you for the personal touch of LaVerna McClendon, the “Compassionate”. Horrible Customer Service We had a sympathy plant delivered to Funeral Home for services on Thursday June 18,2020. However the plant was not in the location of the service nor given to the family. The next day I confirmed floral was delivered by florist; however when I called McClendon Mortuary to ask if they could check to see if Floral was missed, the gentleman was very rude, unhelpful, condescending and blatantly refused help saying they are not responsible for florals that are not prepared by their funeral home. I continued to ask for assistance in locating the floral since we clearly had proof of delivery time of delivery and photo of plant inside McClendon Funeral home Flower Room. The person did not offer any customer service or assistance to help. I have notified the family of the floral and will seek their help in finding the floral. However I feel to ask the grieving family to resolve a dispute with a company that is in business to service the needs of grieving families is utterly ridiculous.

The McClendon Mortuary was fabulous with my family. My mom had been sick for awhile so we were worried about how she may look. But to our surprise she looked beautiful. Thanks to Jason McClendon he definitely worked his magic. I can't stop singing praises to the McClendon Mortuary. I truly thank God for them they really got us through a tough time. I love them all Mr. & Mrs McClendon, David, Jason and Ms. Audrey . Much Love to you all and God Bless.
